Brahmastra, the upcoming fantasy adventure film by Ayan Mukherji has released yet another song from the film. Produced by Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, its stellar cast includes Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role with Amitabh Bachchan, Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
The story revolves around Shiva (played by Ranbir Kapoor), a DJ, who realizes that he has a strange connection with the element of fire. He holds the power to awaken the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon that is said to be able to destroy the universe, capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. On the other hand, the forces of the dark are also on a quest to get hold of the Brahmāstra.
The film is intended to serve as the first film in a planned trilogy as part of its own cinematic universe called Astraverse. And the released song shows the beginning of Shiva, realising his powers. It is composed by Pritam, sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi, and the lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The song is described as, “presenting the purest form of light and energy – fire and the force behind that fire – Shiva as he finally unlocks his powers.” The music video begins with Shiva trying to comprehend the reason behind his connection with the ‘Astra’ world only to learn that he too is an Astra (weapon), the Fire Astra.

Deva Deva Telugu Version
This version of the song is sung by Sreerama Chandra, Jonita Gandhi & Arijit Singh. Meanwhile, the lyrics are adapted to the language by Chandrabose. In the first half of the video, Shiva learns how to channelise the sparks of fire inside him and gather them together to make a big fire.
The song essentially is a devotional one, where our lead character is gaining his strength and unveiling the hidden potential, that he had all along.
Deva Deva Tamil Version
This version of the song is sung by Sid Sriram, Jonita Gandhi & Arijit Singh, with lyrics by Madhan Karky. In the second half, when Shiva has conquered his hidden powers, he is seen with Alia Bhatt as the song lyrics talk about their relationship. It says that their love is strong and feels like a connection from their previous lives, which will only become stronger together.
Deva Deva Kannada Version
Lyrics written by Hridaya Shiva, this version of the song is in the voice of Sanjith Hegde, Jonita Gandhi & Arijit Singh. By the end of the song Shiva even manages to ignite a massive Eagle using his powers. He is now the master of the Agni Astra and ready to take on anything that comes his way.
Brahmastra Part One – Shiva is scheduled to release on September 9, 2022.
