Actor-comedian and TV host Robert Saget, aka Bob Saget, passed away on January 9, 2022. The US comedian, 65, was found dead in a Florida hotel room. The local sheriff confirmed the news of his demise. Orange Country Sheriff’s Office confirmed the same news on their Twitter page.
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case. #BobSaget,” tweeted the Sheriff’s official Twitter page.
The actor-comedian’s demise has left the fans and industry heartbroken. People have paid their respects on social media pages. Actor Kat Dennings wrote, “Oh god. Bob Saget!!! The loveliest man. I was his TV daughter for one season and he was always so kind and protective. So so sorry for his family.”
Norman Lear tweeted, “Bob Saget was as lovely a human as he was funny. And to my mind, he was hilarious. We were close friends and I could not have loved him more.”
“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby,” tweeted Bob’s friend John Stamos.
