This year’s nominations include not only the evergreen veteran talents who’ve always been at the top of their game, but also many up and coming multifaceted K-pop stars. The award series in question is the first ceremony to be launched for exclusive digital streaming, and so, the names included below entail those show titles that were released on streaming platforms in the past year.

Kpop Idols Nominated for the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards

EXO’s DO aka Kyungsoo has been nominated in the Drama category for the Best Actor post, and Bae Suzy, the former member of Miss A is in the race for the Best Actress trophy. Soloist Park Jihoon has good chances of winning the Best Rookie Actor spot for his performance in Weak Hero Class 1, whereas ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo has also been nominated for the same prize, although fans have particularly found this to be an incongruous addition as Eunwoo has been participating as an actor for a long time.

EXID’s Hani wowed the audience with her Hit the Spot gig and has been nominated for the Best Rookie Actress spot. Coming down to the variety series list, WEi’s Kim Yo-han is in the running for the Best Rookie Male Entertainer prize, along with GOT7’s BamBam. Girl’s Day’s Yura and Girls’ Generation’s Yuri are up against each other for the same trophy of the Best Female Entertainer. KARA’s Heo Young-ji is also on the nominees list for the Best Rookie Female Entertainer title.

Congratulations to all the Blue Dragon Series Awards nominees 2023 edition!

The 2nd series of the award ceremony will be held on July 19, 2023, at 8:30PM KST.
