Blue Box Episode 1 Recap
The story centres on Taiki, a promising young tennis player who develops a crush on his senior, Chinatsu. She’s a star athlete at their school and the ace of the basketball team, while Taiki, still a novice on the tennis court, feels unworthy of her attention.
Despite his self-doubt, Taiki harbours hope that Chinatsu will notice him, and to his delight, she not only notices but is also quite friendly toward him. They share a routine of being the first ones on the court to practice their respective sports.

Taiki’s two friends are aware of his one-sided crush, playfully teasing him about setting his sights so high, though they remain supportive. However, things start to unravel when circumstances arise that threaten to keep Chinatsu from seeing Taiki anymore.
Taiki is the lovestruck junior, while Chinatsu plays the role of the cool and collected senior. In the end, Taiki gets the shock of his life when Chinatsu moves in with him.
Blue Box Episode 2 Review And Recap

Taiki’s life drastically changes after his crush moves in with him so that she can take part in inter-high basketball competition. This is definitely something that Taiki did not expect and was absolutely flabbergasted when the dream became a reality for him. When he told her not to leave Japan, he never thought in a million years that it would be his house she would be staying in and that too for almost 2 years till she graduated.
He is feeling the pressure of being near her 24/7, making him nervous all the time. But his worries wash away when Chinatsu naturally approaches him and thanks him for being so welcoming to her. This again motivates him to do better at his sports so that one day, he can stand beside her and propose. He realises that being a basketball superstar, Chinatsu deserves the best, thus, he will also train hard to enter the inter-high badminton competition. This is a very difficult decision because only a few can manage to achieve that in their first year. But he is determined to make this a reality rather than just a possibility.

However, with Chinatsu living in his house, there are also other problems. He cannot let others know about this sort of situation, as then, he can be targeted by the Chinatsu fanboys. Taiki also doesn’t want Chinatsu to become the topic of gossip. But Taichi is too clueless to pull off this sort of thing very smoothly. Hence, he ends up behaving in a way that makes our heroine feel he might not appreciate living with her under the same roof.
Two of Taiki’s friends, Hina and Kyou, witnessed all this development. They are onlookers to whatever is happening to Taiki and still try their best to be supportive in their own ways. But one thing is certain from this episode, Taichi and Chinatsu are becoming closer than ever before.

Verdict
I like this episode because its simplicity is endearing and calming. It is a pretty straightforward story with very predictable developments, but sometimes you need those uncomplicated things in life. I loved the fact that we got to know a bit more about the sports aspect and found out what Taichi must do to enter the nationals. Here, we also see who Taiki’s rival is and find out about other big shots in the sports section.
