Bitch x Rich Season 2 Episode 2 Recap

The episode opens with Hye-in apologising to Bo-seok and his mother while the other students look on. As Cha Jin-wook arrives in South Korea, an internet entity called Black Dog spills the beans about Je-na’s father’s affair with Ha Min-hee. On the other hand, Do-eun asks Je-na for an apology because of the inflammatory comments that she made in the first season.

As things get awkward for Je-na at home when Min-hee moves in and taunts her about her baby brother, Hye-in can’t help but feel heartbroken about what her father had to go through. Moreover, she is now getting sued, and Bo-seok refuses to settle. Sa-rang overhears this conversation and tells her that the only option to get away with this is to get into Diamond 6.

With that in mind, she calls Je-na to make a deal, giving her Yul-hee’s necklace in exchange for getting into Diamond 6. Hye-in begs her to help her out, but to no avail. She asks her to get out. Outside the building, she comes across Min-hee screaming at someone for blackmailing her. Hye-in records her talking about falsifying someone’s identity so that they can become Chairman Baek’s heir.

The next day starts with Jin-wook arriving at the school and meeting Je-na. The conversation is a little awkward, and both she and Hye-in are left confused about his odd comments! Later, Je-na faces bullying from her schoolmates for her father’s affair, but puts on a steely attitude.

Hye-in eventually gives Je-na Min-hee’s audio recording in exchange for a spot in Diamond 6, after which Je-na goes to meet Jin-wook at a family/business meeting. She walks out as soon as she realises what’s going on, and Jin-wook stops her and teases her for her reaction. He proposes that they plot against their elders’ schemes, but Je-na is uninterested in entertaining him.

That night, Jin-wook fills his mother in on what happened at dinner and assures her that he will win this game. Elsewhere, Yul-hee pressures Hee-su to take disciplinary actions against Je-na, which he assures her he will do. Interestingly, he tells Je-na everything, and the next day, Je-na gives him Yul-hee’s necklace and asks him to do something before things get out of hand. He calls the investigators, who promise to close the investigation that week and remove all records.

The next day, the new members of Diamond 6 arrive which including Sa-rang and Jin-wook. However, in a shocking turn of events, Je-na throws out Do-un for not giving a donation to make way for another new member, Hye-in.

Bitch x Rich Season 2 Episode 2: Kim Min-kyu
Bitch x Rich Season 2 Episode 2: Kim Min-kyu

This episode is so odd. It’s like watching a bunch of rich, spoilt teenagers acting like they own the world. And, to be fair, they are exactly that way, and it’s so annoying. The over-the-top drama is not only silly but also unnecessary, and I am waiting for things to get spicier. While the episode ends on a nice cliffhanger, I can’t say that I enjoyed the rest of the episode too much. It doesn’t feel realistic. I mean, what is the chance that Ha Min-hee is standing in a very public parking lot and screaming her plans for “world domination”? It’s convenient but not in a smart way.
