Billboard’s World Albums Chart: BTS, BLACKPINK and Others Claim Top Spots

K-pop fans, it is time for you to rejoice as BTS, NCT 127, TXT, BLACKPINK and others top the Billboard’s World Album Chart! The Billboard charts take into consideration the popularity of songs and albums in the United States and elsewhere giving the audience the analysis of which artists have ranked on our playlists and in our hearts. For the week of December 4, the World Album Charts seem to be dominated by our boy bands and girl groups from South Korea, marking a higher place for them in world music.

We have BTS who have landed a total of four albums in the top 15 of the World Albums chart this week. We have the band’s “Map of the Soul: 7” rose to No. 3 (in its 92nd week), “Love Yourself: Answer” to No. 6 (in its 169th week), and “BE” to No. 7 (in its 53rd week), while “Map of the Soul: Persona” re-entered the chart at No. 14 (in its 128th week). Meanwhile, “BE” has ranked #1 on Billboards World Album Charts for the year 2021.

TWICE’s latest studio album “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” has also topped the World Albums chart for the second consecutive week. Additionally, it has also become the group’s first album to spend two weeks in the top 20 of the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, NCT 127’s third studio album “Sticker” has held onto its spot at No. 2 for the 10th week on the World Albums chart. Another record set by “Sticker” is that it is the first K-pop album of 2021 to spend 10 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200.

We have BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” at No. 13 (in its 60th week) and at #3 for Billboard Year-End World Albums of 2021.

ENHYPEN’s first studio album “DIMENSION : DILEMMA” has held strongly its No. 8 position in its sixth week on the chart and TXT’s “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” has climbed back up to No. 11 in its 26th consecutive week on the World Albums chart. This makes TXT’s new record of the longest-charting K-pop album of 2021.

At last, we have ITZY’s “CRAZY IN LOVE” that has come at No. 12 in its ninth week on the chart, followed by and SEVENTEEN’s “Attacca” at No. 15 which is in its fifth week. For more details, visit Billboard.com.
