Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 9: Nominations Turn Messy After a Major Rule Break Changes the Game

Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 9: Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 9 walked into one job of nominating people but did not leave cleanly.

What started as a normal, straightforward nomination process turned into an episode where the actual nominations almost became secondary to why certain people ended up nominated. The episode had friendships questioned, loyalties examined, accusations of Bigg Boss playing favourites, Qazi’s very committed performance, and a Hi-five-related argument that acquired the emotional weight of a full-blown fight.

Yes, Bigg Boss 20 had another completely normal day.

Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 9: The Nomination Process Is Simple Until Bigg Boss Enters the Picture

Bigg Boss called the housemates into the newly inaugurated BB 20 room, where pictures of all the contestants were displayed, for a simple nomination task.

Every housemate had to nominate two contestants, and those with the maximum votes would be on the nomination list for the week. The task was simple: just point at two people and accept the consequences, with no complicated maze, physical task, or even guessing game.

By the end of the process, four names came up: Aman Gandhi, Uditi Singh, Love Gill, and Amrapali Dubey. They emerged as the contestants facing nomination… for approximately five seconds! Bigg Boss had clearly not entered the episode, planning to let things remain simple and uncomplicated.

The Rule-Breaking Twist

Bigg Boss clarified that under normal circumstances, the four contestants would have been nominated, but Bigg Boss loves twists.

Bigg Boss then played the video clips showing Yung DSA, Aasif Khan, Rohed Khan, and Scout discussing nominations, and that changed everything. Discussing nominations is against the rules of the house; contestants are not supposed to sit around discussing who they might nominate, who they should nominate, or essentially turn the nomination process into a WhatsApp group discussion.

Since the four were caught doing exactly that, Bigg Boss held them accountable and punished them. The four were directly put into nominations with a rather important exception: Yung DSA was saved because he was the captain of the house.

This means that Aasif, Rohed, and Scout joined the nomination list, while Aman, Uditi, Love and Amrapali were spared from the consequences of the twist, which is where Episode 9 became interesting because nominations are one thing, but being told that your nomination happened because of a “rule violation” is a completely different page.

The Group Questioned the Move

Following the twist, conversations naturally shifted towards whether Bigg Boss’ decision was fair. The four were seen discussing how they felt the punishment was unfair and questioned whether the entire situation was perhaps being used to break friendships and disturb their equations.

This is where the classic Bigg Boss paranoia kicks in because once contestants start thinking that the game is deliberately targeting their friendships, every argument suddenly becomes a strategy; every punishment becomes “they are against us”. The housemates also discussed how it felt like Bigg Boss was not in their favour.

Aasif Khan, in particular, seemed ready to take that frustration to another level, making it clear that he would even fight with Bigg Boss if need be.

There is always something very interesting under all the frustration: the punishment did not just affect the nomination list; it shook the contestants’ perception of their own game. When you believe the rules are being used against you, you stop playing only against the people but against the house itself.

Qazi Has Entered The Hurt Era

Qazi Touqeer, meanwhile, continued doing what he does best: turn ordinary house moments into entertainment. His latest character was Qazi, but make it emotionally wounded. After the nominations, Qazi was seen taking up a character who is deeply hurt by the entire situation.

At this point, Qazi almost feels like he is collecting characters. One day it is one personality, another day it switches to another emotional setting, and now we have entered the “I have been hurt” phase. The length and depth of this chapter are yet to be determined.

The most bizarrely entertaining Qazi moment in Episode 9 perhaps came when he was speaking to Mary Kom in the kitchen. Qazi told her that he had a problem with “Jinn”, which understandably left Mary Kom startled. He even asked her to pray for him, to which she agreed.

Whatever the exact intention of the role he is about to take up was, Mary Kom seemed genuinely scared by what she was hearing; this is precisely why Qazi continues to stand out.

Uditi vs Aasif: The High-Five That Refused to Stay Calm

Then came another classic Bigg Boss argument. Uditi and Aasif got into a fight over what essentially appeared to begin with a high-five. Uditi said that she was uncomfortable with the same and that Aasif should maintain distance. Aasif seemed annoyed by that.

Both sides kept replaying the incident from their own perspective, explaining why they were right, and because this is Bigg Boss, the argument did not simply remain between two people. Both went on to discuss the matter with their respective friends, repeating their points and seeking validation for their side.

What made this clash particularly notable is not the trigger itself but either side refusing to let go of their version and understand the other person’s perspective. Aasif said that he did it in a fun spirit, while Uditi said that she did not like it and it made her uncomfortable. While Aasif apologised to Uditi, he immediately went on replaying the situation, making fun and even using the phrase “less talented” without really naming her, but Uditi clearly felt that it was targeted at her.

Bigg Boss 20 Episode 9 Verdict: The Nominations Were Only the Beginning

BB 20 Episode 9 had a surprisingly simple central idea of nominations, but it turned into something bigger.

Aman, Uditi, Love, and Amrapali initially found themselves nominated through the regular process, but the nomination rule violation involving Yung DSA, Aasif, Rohed and Scout changed the landscape. Yung’s captaincy saved him while the remaining three paid the price. Suddenly, the conversation was about fairness, rules, favouritism, and friendships.

Then there was Qazi, comfortably occupying his latest character era, and Uditi and Aasif proving again that in the Bigg Boss house a small gesture can become a storyline. The episode even showed Amrapali calling Aman a “struggler” during an argument.

Episode 9 did not have a single explosive fight but had real parts of entertainment, which primarily came from Qazi, arguments that make the audience think about how important it is for human beings to be just, and the importance of following the rules.

  • Which contestants did the house nominate in Week 2?
  • Aman Gandhi, Uditi Singh, Amrapali Dubey, Love Gill
  • Who violated the rule of discussing nominations?
  • Yung DSA, Aasif Khan, Rohed Khan, and Scout were seen discussing the nomination in the clips played after the nomination task. The four were directly put into nominations. Yung DSA was saved because he was the captain of the house.
