Bigg Boss 20 Episode 36 brings the conversation to bullying, abusive language and the uncomfortable question of how much people are willing to excuse in the name of a game. Salman Khan addressed ScoutOP and Yung DSA over their conduct inside the house, while Qazi Touqeer’s emotional breakdown brought his health and the housemates’ treatment of him into focus. With Mary Kom securing safety, Aman Gandhi losing a life, and new wildcards entering the Bigg Boss 20 house, the episode unpacked slowly.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 36: Salman Khan Questions Abusive Language Inside Bigg Boss House
During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan addressed the way contestants speak to each other, particularly the use of abusive language. The host pointed out that the language being used inside the house was not appropriate, which meant that parts of the conversations had to be muted; however, in the process of muting to censor the abuses, viewers can miss the context of an argument altogether.
That raises a rather basic question! If contestants cannot make their point without falling to a language that has to be muted, what exactly are they trying to communicate? The conversation brought up the “lollipop” controversy to the centre. The host questioned Scout and Yung about why they continued stretching an issue that had been settled the previous week. Arishfa was asked to explain what the remark meant for her since it came from a conversation with Arishfa Khan, apparently. She clarified that Qazi Touqeer used it playfully, just like a child is asked if they wanted to have candy, a lollipop… in a “father-daughter” context.
Scout and Yung, however, had a different interpretation, describing the word as having an abusive connotation. The issue here was not simply about who interpreted a particular word correctly; it was about why the matter was being dragged back into the spotlight after it had supposedly been resolved.
Salman Khan also addressed the issue of “bullying” inside the house, questioning Scout and Yung about their use of threats involving what would happen outside the house. To have a problem with someone during a task is one thing, but suggesting that the conflict would continue beyond the show takes the argument somewhere else entirely.

The host also brought up Scout’s manner of sitting, questioning whether he would put his feet on the headrest of a theatre seat even if the seat was empty. The incident was then referred back to the earlier incident in which he had placed his foot on the headrest while people were sitting on the sofa. It might seem like a small detail compared with the larger arguments inside the Bigg Boss house, but the way people behave in the casual setting can also speak. Scout was also asked to be careful since a lot of people watch the show.
Qazi Touqeer Breaks Down
The mood shifted when Qazi Touqeer broke down in tears, bringing attention to his health and the way fellow contestants responded to it. The housemates were asked whether they believed Qazi was telling the truth about being unwell. Some agreed that they did this time.

Uditi Singh was also questioned about not agreeing to help Qazi with food when he was sick. Salman Khan pointed out that Qazi had been the one who stood for her when she was at the centre of the controversy surrounding the diss incident. Uditi explained that she had not realised Qazi was so unwell and insisted that she would never have refused to give him food had she known the extent of her condition and apologised. Aman Gandhi, meanwhile, explained that he did not dislike Qazi but had been hurt by him.
Salman Khan Addresses the Touch Controversy
Another significant conversation during the episode concerned touch and personal boundaries. Salman Khan asked Love Gill whether she had a brother, and Love confirmed that she had a younger, 17-year-old brother. The host then asked about their relationship and whether she was comfortable with physical contact, including being touched with a foot.
Love agreed that such interactions happened between her and her sibling. After hearing the response, Salman Khan reiterated and asked if she was fine being touched, pointing towards the hip with the foot. On getting confirmation that she did not have a problem, Salman Khan dropped the issue, saying that if Love herself was comfortable with it, then it was fine.
Salman Khan Is Praised For Standing Against Bullying In Earlier Weekend Ka Vaar
The previous episode, Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar, featured actors like Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajkummar Rao on Bigg Boss to promote their film Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam. Wamiqa Gabbi praised Qazi Touqeer and revealed that she had recently started liking Gullu’s game. Rajkummar Rao, meanwhile, thanked Salman Khan for taking up a stand against bullying.

The Roadies team, including Rannvijay Singha, Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula and Abhishek Malhan, also appeared on the show. Neha Dhupia expressed her appreciation to Salman Khan for the stance against the issue. Salman Khan further emphasised the importance of women speaking up against bullying, particularly when they are recorded in ways that make them uncomfortable.
New Wildcards Enter the House
As the episode neared its conclusion, Mary Kom was declared safe as the only nominated contestant with a single life. Aman Gandhi, who received the least number of votes, lost one life and has only one life left, which means that he would be evicted if he gets the least number of votes yet again, unless he somehow manages to win back his life.
The voting result adds another layer of uncertainty to a competition in which survival is tied to the audience’s perception. A contestant’s standing inside the house and their popularity outside it do not always tell the same story, and the voting results can make the difference rather clear.
This Weekend Ka Vaar also brought new wild cards into the picture, with Manish Goel having entered during Saturday’s episode and Nakul Dhull joining the house as another housemate. Their arrival could change the existing equations, particularly in a house where alliances and personal grievances have already become difficult to separate.
New contestants have the advantage of entering a game that is already in motion. They can observe the existing dynamics before deciding where to place their loyalties, but they also have to find their footing among people who have spent weeks building relationships, rivalries and reputations. As Salman Khan said, whether these “Wild Cards” would be “Mild Cards” or “Wild Cards” is yet to be seen in the upcoming episodes.
Final Verdict: Bigg Boss Season 20 Needs to Remember the Boundaries
Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 36 was less about one isolated controversy and more about the behaviour that keeps several controversies alive. From Scout and Yung bringing back the “lollipop” remark to Qazi’s emotional breakdown, the episode repeatedly returned to the difference between playing aggressively and treating people without consideration.
The conversations about abusive language, bullying and personal boundaries seemed necessary, particularly because this week revolved around repeated provocation and a lot of muted words, which is not to say that this is not common in reality television. This makes it all the more important to bring in the conversation around the same.
The house is all set for another week, with nobody going home and two new housemates in. The new week might bring in new equations, rebrand the existing ones, pave the path for chaos, or even appear to be a calm sea.
What would you want the coming week to be like? What do you expect from the two Wild Cards?
