Big Mouth: Who is Big Mouse? Here Are Our List of Suspects!

MBC’s Big Mouth (빅마우스) is slowly picking up the pace when it comes to creating a thrilling and shocking storyline. With 16 episodes, the series is directed by Oh Choong-hwan and stars Lee Jong-suk, Im Yoon-ah, Kim Joo-hun, and Yang Kyung-won, alongside other cast members. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM KST or 8 PM IST on Disney+.

So, we left off Big Mouth episode 4 with Chang-ho confidently walking toward Ji-hoon to tell him the names of Big Mouse’s biggest clients. However, as fans might remember – the names that Ji-hoon had given Do-ha were not correct; in fact, the dangerous criminal mastermind had made up the entire list to catch Do-ha and Chang-ho red-handed.

However, when Mi-ho hands the list over the list to Chang-ho, it is revealed that it’s a different list from what was handed to her. Then there’s the curious case of how Big Mouse knows everything that happens in prison, which takes us to the thought that – is the master manipulator and con artist inside the prison somehow?

Here Are Our Big Mouse Suspects

Park Chang-ho

Of course, the first suspect in our minds is our protagonist, who has apparently been wronged and framed, Chang-ho. Over the course of 4 episodes, it was not lost on anyone that Chang-ho is very good at playing with the characters that he thinks will help him survive. He started off as sweet and innocent, saying what was on his mind and getting himself beaten up.

However, in the last episode or two, he’s been very good at being Big Mouse and manipulating everyone to do his bidding. Of course, one can say that when the other option is death, you’d be willing to do anything. That being said, he’s been a bit too good at threatening and making a bunch of criminals rise to his name – the last scene of episode 4 was quite shocking and goes to show how he’s making everyone dance to his tunes.

Go Mi-ho

Ok, this is probably a bit out there… or is it? Going back to that list of clients, if you remember Do-ha’s expression when Ji-hoon told him about the list, he was very shocked. So, clearly, he wasn’t the one who changed up the names. So, it really isn’t that far-fetched to think that Mi-ho might just be trying to save her husband, but it would be too dangerous for her to be in prison.

Of course, one might also say that maybe someone switched the paper out somewhere while, maybe one of the guards in prison (more on that later), but Mi-ho might just be a badass conman, and I might just be here for that!

Choi Do-ha

Ok, Do-ha has been after Big Mouse; we know that. But what if it’s all just a front? What if he’s just doing all of this to keep up appearances? It’s not unknown that Do-ha does not like Ji-hoon. He’d have the resources to pull something like this off. Plus, he hates Ji-hoon, so obviously, he’d strike him where it hurts. Do-ha looks quite scary, and the way he handled Ji-hoon in episode 4 was shocking (and maybe just a bit attractive). Maybe he has more like this hidden somewhere under the sleeve?

Guard Gan Soo-chul

I feel like the perfect reveal of Big Mouse would be someone in the background, but not someone who is unknown. Guard Gan Soo-chul is the perfect candidate for that. He’s ruthless, always looks angry and has the resources to control everyone in prison. If he wanted, he could make anything and everything happen, and no one would know about it.

Jerry

Honestly, the biggest contender for Big Mouse is Jerry because he has the tattoo of a mouse – come on. The series tries to play him off as a character who is cute and all, but let’s not forget that he’s great at manipulation, knows everyone in prison and is very resourceful. Jerry has made himself available to Chang-ho and made himself an integral part of his life in prison which, I would say, the real Big Mouse would do as well to keep his patsy alive.

Although we haven’t seen much of his backstory, the little bit we know does make him the perfect Big Mouse.

So, what are your thoughts? Who do you think is the titular Big Mouse? Tell us in the comments below, did we get the suspects right?

Check out the series on Disney+ and on MBC.

  1. I think it was the wife. The name of the list was changed by Changho’s wife. Maybe the wife read what’s written on the list.

  2. Am pretty sure it’s jerry, like c’mon how can it not be jerry and i feel like gaurd Gan Soo-Chul is actually an accomplice to the real big mouse

  3. I’m pretty sure he’s nobody of all the listed suspects, c’mon Korean movie strategy does not work the way you people are thinking.
The real big mouse is somewhere near, we’ve been seeing him or her ✅✅✅ but it won’t be that obvious ????.

  4. I think it’s jerry. Because the actor who is playing jerry is very famous. He will not join any project just for supporting role unless he has big role.

  5. First guess is Jerry, then the Guard. He has that dangerous and mysterious look suited for a villain. But I still feel and hoping that it would be park chan ho at the end. 🙂 An antagonist with a heart for the innocents

  6. It’s too hard to find who is the real big mouse in that movie. But it’s might be Miho’s father, Jerry or the head of room so let us wait and see the end . It will shock us ????????

  7. it’s Chang-Ho, he actually has dissociative identity disorder (split personality), cos why else would he pass the tarot cards and messages to himself? From a story telling perspective it doesnt make sense.

  8. i think at the end chang ho will be the real big mouse, even though we don’t know how.. because he is a “big mouth” like a title of this movie

  9. My first suspect to be big mouse is changho’s father in law because the money and gold found in changho’s office which belongs to him. Also all this began when he found out that Changho’s nickname was big mouth. My second suspect is Mayor Choi who fired him and promised him to become famous if he didn’t perform well.

  10. I think it is No Bak. Because
    1. Not much is known about him but he still gets a lot of screen time. He doesn’t do anything significant but still, he is everywhere.

    2. He is in astrology and taro cards. Park Chang Ho (our hero) and big mouse use tarot cards to communicate.

    3. he is close to Park Yoon Gab (Prison Director) are close and he gives importance to him. And in episode 10 we get to know that Park Yoon Gab is with the big mouse.

    4. Remember when Park Chang Ho (our hero) asked jerry to collect wishes from the prisoners and said he will grant them (to prove he is a big mouse) and No Bak told the story of his lost daughter and how he end up in the prison. In ep 10 Park Yoon Gab (Prison Director) tells our hero that big mouse is interested in ‘That Paper’ (Seo Jae Yong’s paper) because Big mouse lost someone precious due to that paper. (in short, that precious person was No Bak’s daughter).
If you observe that the wish-fulfilling scenario was not necessary at all. Most of us would have already forgotten about it. He got only 3 wishes. And haven’t fulfilled any of it. That thing was only there so that we can connect dots later. And that scenario becomes important enough for the screentime only is what I am assuming is true.

  11. Changho’s other personality is the real big mouse. He has multiple personality disorder. His good other side “died”(deep comma) after the accident.

  12. I totally agree with you. He knows all their moves. He’s expert in surveillance equipment. He knows about the Mary statue. He’s a lawyer with access to prison. He was the first one to mention about the NR Forum to PCH. He was upset when he wasn’t informed about PCH’s meeting with the prosecutor. That scene with the FIL eating the noodles was totally unnecessary except to set this up. Yup it’s him. Does anyone have the time to look through all the scenes he has with PCH? May have clues. Were they friends from the orphanage or high school? Most likely orphanage, family killed in connection with the Elder’s chemical plant experiments?

  13. Thats believable to! That’s a fantastic idea from a story prospective. But how did you reach to that conclusion? There are not many proofs to support that idea.
