Big Brother Season 28 Week 10: The Double Eviction Big Brother night began with Yash Patel holding the Head of Household power, three nominees in danger and the final BB Blockbuster competition on everyone’s head. By the time the episode ended, Barrett Pfeiffer and Yash Patel were both out of the game, four jury members established, and the final five remained.
The second half of the episode in fact, felt like someone had pressed a fast-forward to the entire season.
Big Brother Season 28 Week 10: The First Eviction
Yash entered the week as the Head of Householf, and eventually nominated Drew, Melody and Barrett for the eviction.
Drew won the Power of Veto and used it on himself, meaning Yash had to replace a nominee, and he chose Taylor as the nominee. Thus the three nominated houseguests were: Melody, Barrett and Taylor.
BB Blockbuster: The competition marked the end of the BB Blockbuster format of the season. From this point, nominees would not have that route to safety. Melody chose the exact right moment to finally pull out a win. She won the Blockbuster competition, removing herself from the danger and leaving Barrett and Taylor as the two nominees.
The house voted 3-1 to evict Barrett with Dee, Devens and Drew voting against him. Barrett’s eviction also made him the third member of the jury, joining LaTrice and Angela. Then came the part of the night where Big Brother stopped giving time to breathe.
Melody Wins Big Brother HOH
Immediately after Barrett’s eviction, the houseguests competed for the next Head of Household: Melody won.
Her second competition victory of the night was particularly significant because the entire structure of the game had suddenly changed. There were only six people in the house, with power in Melody’s hands. For the double eviction nominations, only two houseguests went on the block.
Melody nominated Dee and Devens.
The Second Power Of Veto
The second POV was won by Devens, removing himself from the block, making Melody name a replacement nominee.
The replacement was Yash.
Now the person who had started the night with the most direct power in the house was on the block himself. Yash went from HOH to nominee in the space of just one eviction cycle.
No job security at Big Brother, it seems!
The final nominees for the second eviction were Dee and Yash.
The Second Eviction
The house voted 2-1 to evict Yash, with Devens and Drew voting against Yash.
Yash’s HOH era had taken him from having the power to dictate nominations to becoming the second evicted person that same night. His exit further made him the fourth member of the jury.
The Final Five
- Now, after ten weeks of alliances, competitions, deals and moments where everyone insisted on what they wanted, Big Brother Season 28 is finally at the Final Five.

Big Brother 28 Week 10
The entire episode was full of twists and turns: the double eviction made it much more than a normal episode.
The first half had its own story. Yash was HOH; Drew’s veto; Melody’s blockbuster win; Barrett’s eviction. The entire board was then wiped clean. Melody then won HOH; Dee and Devens went up; Devens won veto; Yash went up; and Yash went home.
The powers changed at the speed of light on the double eviction night, and perhaps the funniest part is how different the night ended from how it actually began.
Yash was the person holding the power at the beginning of the night. Barrett and Yash became the new jury members after being evicted on the night of double evictions.
Big Brother sometimes does not give a massive twist to make the house feel completely different altogether, but just tells some people an hour and tells two of them that they are leaving, one of whom was on the seat of power at the beginning of the episode. Everyone remembers that they are playing for $750,000.
