-Big Bet Episode 6 Recap Contains Spoilers-
Kyung-young hooks up Moo-sik with new investors, while in hopes of opening up a new casino. The deal on the Korean investors’ side seems to be up in the air at the moment, but Moo-sik is all in as long as money is involved. So-jung has a shorts interaction with her mother, who’s presently hospitalised and unwell. Later, she persists on Jung-pal doing her the favour of introducing her as a casino agent to Moo-sik.
The new investors arrive at the airport and Moo-sik helps Kyung-young look good by sending reinforcements like police escorts and a limousine to welcome them. However, as it turns out, the incoming party has their personal criminal record in Korea as well.

Seung-hoon settles in at his new accommodation, and is acquainted to the dangers of the Agiles neighbourhood and how easy it is to get a gun here. His new working conditions are a bit extreme though, with the office having no air conditioner despite the scorching climate which gets in the way.
Moo-sik sits down with the new team at Young-hee’s restaurant where he senses trouble from them and he confronts Kyung-young to clear the air out. Further problems are created for him when Eun-jeong and Il-yung plan on pulling their money out from him. Barging into the apartment, he agrees with them about not following a proper procedure and demanding things out of thin air.
Seung-hoon is invited by Mr. Lee, the accommodation manager, for a get-together with the Korean Association, where he figures out more about the situational reality of the place, and how local Koreans have come together to help each other. Also, reassuring them to be of additional aid, he asks them to contact him in the hour of need.

Meanwhile, Moo-sik keeps his game up with the financier we met during the last episode, Jung Seok-woo. He raises his pretence of playing the good guy in his life by urging him to stop gambling at the casino. His ulterior motives work as planned and Seok-woo can’t have enough of it, and moves back to play his bets again.
At the same time, he’s alerted by John to meet him at an underground gambling place, where “he’s running an errand for the big boss”. Meeting with Chen, they start a game together. After a few rounds, John hints Moo-sik to take off and settles business with his triad executive. Once he heads over to the toilet, he’s blocked by the executive’s bodyguards and ultimately shoots them all to clear his path.

Heading inside, his tussle with the executive commences and ends on a bloody note, with John capturing the dead body’s photo as proof and sends it to Moo-sik. Turns out Chen sold shares of a business without the big boss’ permission and this was just payback time for him.

Ms. Ko comes back to play at the Bolton, but she plans on leaving for Seoul next week. On the other hand, Seung-hoon settles the situation at the office by installing an air conditioner for the team. The news of the Chinese men being gunned down at the gambling joint spreads and intrigues the interest of the police. Simultaneously, a new case is forwarded to Seung-hoon concerning Ms. Ko, the CEO of Pastella, who is under investigation for illegal oversea gambling.
Consulting his partner Mark, he asks him if there was a way to sneak into the Bolton Casino and capture proof for the case. He advises him against it, knowing Mr. Cha is “connected with all the top dogs in the city”. He guides him to stay out of it, but of course, the matter doesn’t end there for Seung-hoon.
Kyung-young starts digging at a field with his friend, while playing with a newly acquired gun with which he plans on hunting the Eun-jeong and il-yung.

Big Bet Episode 6 Ending
Seung-hoon drops by the Bolton Casino despite Mark’s warnings. Getting acquainted with So-jung, he’s introduced to the place through her. She lays out some basic information about Moo-sik’s casino chain being the biggest in the Philippines and how it’s turned into a junket for Koreans, especially since its owned by one. Call it chance or what, but he happens to bother at the right time when Ms. Ko is playing her hand at the game.
She wins her initial round, and is surrounded by Moo-sik, So-jung, Philip and even Min Seok-jun at the time. Asking a brazen question about So-jung’s underwear colour – red, she follows suit and places a grand bet of 200 hundred million pesos, all while Seung-hoon records the happenings covertly on his phone. Although the final result isn’t revealed in the episode, it looks like it all went in Ms. Ko’s favour because she looks pleased with So-jung.

The scene cuts right off, and jumps to Moo-sik’s home where Kyung-young pays a late visit to the boss. Mr. Cha senses a strong foreboding energy exuded by him and knows that something has gone wrong, but Kyung-young keeps up the facade a little longer. Eventually, the truth is spilled out and we find out that he’s in fact killed the new Korean investors creating ruckus for him. Moo-sik gets all the facts together, and promises him his safety no matter what, while also relaying that if the Filipino police start an investigation here, he won’t be tried in Korea.
Moo-sik arranges for a vehicle that can’t be tracked with Jung-pal’s aid but as soon as Kyung-young realises that it’s meant for him to go into hiding, he falls back on his words and claims it all to be a joke. Mr. Cha guides him once again that if he’s not willing to trust him, then there’s no way he can help him either. Kyung-young attempts to flee the situation , stating that “he was messing around”. Moo-sik’s words don’t get across to him, and he ends up digging his own grave.
Big Bet Episode 6 Review
The action is revving up and things are getting hot as we speak. Episode 6 is the change of pace we all needed in the rather business-driven approach of the series till now. As I said earlier, Seung-hoon’s (Son Suk-ku) coming in was bound to blast in a lot of drama, and right off the bat, a series of murders have surfaced to the top. So-jung’s character is also enjoying moments in the spotlight while we briefly get an insight into her familial situation.

There’s no doubt that Ms. Ko is an intriguing character in the mix, but hopefully we’ll receive a bit more contextual foundation of her being as well. The problem has been consistently the same. Each episodes puts in a new face, disconnected from the present plane of action, making it difficult for us to join the dots of these sundry lifelines to the overall plot. However, in its own sense, it’s all bringing about a chaotic misfires that are now feeding into the more thrilling aspects of the show, especially with Seung-hoon and Moo-sik at least meeting each other for the first time, even if just glancing at each other across the opposite ends of the room.
If you’ve been following the season since the beginning, you may have even grown accustomed to this trajectory and pacing of the show by now. Therefore, at the moment, while characters keep going in and out, and it may be an issue to keep track of them all, but you may have accepted the drill as well.
Big Bet episode 6 is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
