Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is almost here to scare our wits and bones and, yes, we cannot wait to see how the sequel to the iconic 2007 movie would turn out to be. A psychological horror-comedy, the film is helmed by director Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar. It has created quite the buzz since the news of the film being made aired but, it had unfortunately faced a long delay due to the COVID 19 pandemic with its release date, which was initially supposed to be back in July 2020. But fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the film is close to hitting the theatres.
At Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s trailer launch event, the star cast of this new film greet fans and, answered a couple of interesting questions. Kartik Aaryan, who is set to headline the film was asked his views on being compared to the megastar Akshay Kumar, who headlined 2007 original titled Bhool Bhulaiyaa and if he faced any pressure on matching up Kumar’s charisma from the first film. The Dhamaka actor answered that he never meant to put up a comparison scale from his side as there are two different ways to make a film and, how much he loved Akshay Kumar in his role in the original film.

Aaryan stated, “I loved him [Akshay Kumar] in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I have grown up watching him, we all have and, I love him as an actor. I think, what we have tried here is trying to do things in our way as much as possible. Of course, there is the title, and the character name to create nostalgia but, there are a lot of things we have done on our own, trying to introduce new characters and, everything.
“So we hope, people love this whole new dynamic world that we have created with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. And, comparisons will be there. But, I hope they are good ones. And, people remember Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as a different film”, he further added.
