Yash Raj Films knows well how to reel its audience in prior to Pathaan‘s January premiere with the brand new song Besharam Rang featuring one of the most raved about B-town Jodi – Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The most sought after Bollywood actors were first paired up in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om (2007), and since then have shared the onscreen space with each other on numerous accounts, always ready to steal the hearts of the audience.
Teasers for the song were posted ahead of its release by not only the production house but also the actors as Khan and John Abraham took to their Twitter handles, while Padukone posted her snap from the video on her Instagram profile and raised the bar of anticipation for the sizzling tune boasting the Khan and Padukone’s chemistry. Finally released on December 12, 2022 at 11 AM IST, the video also celebrates 50 years of YRF.
The song credits for Besharam Rang go to the prominent music duo of Vishal-Sheykhar, with lyrics penned by Kumaar and Shilpa Rao and Caralisa Monteiro belting out their notes along with the former pair. Distinguished Bollywood choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant directed the actors for their dance moves.

While the movie was shot across multiple locations around the world, the music video is set against the backdrop of azure waters while the dancers bust out their salsa moves with a Bollywood twist. The leading pair dons a bold and sultry look and you just can’t take your eyes off them. Foregrounding the hold over the audience, the sensual track is bound to be a crowd magnet, pulling the fans to the theatre next month for a blockbuster, marking SRK’s long-awaited return to the big screen after his 2018 full-fledged release Zero with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
Heavy on bass at certain junctures, the track goes easy on the ears with an addictive tune that will catch on after multiple replays. The choreography is mostly led by Padukone, with Khan eventually joining in towards the latter half of the video, but instantly stealing the show. The song is also out in Tamil and Telugu with their respective titles on YouTube.
