Behind Your Touch Episode 5 Preview: The new South Korean thriller rom-com Behind Your Touch (힙하게) directed by Kim Suk-Yoon and written by Lee Nam-Kyu, stars prominent actors like Han Ji-min, Lee Min-ki, EXO’s Suho, Joo Min-kyung, Yang Jae-seong, Park Sung-yeon and others. The series is produced by JTBC, Tving and Netflix.

The series follows the lives of a kind Veterinarian and a grumpy Detective. Bong Ye-boon (Han Ji-min) is a veterinarian who has psychic abilities. She can see the past of any person or animal when she touches their rear end. On the go, she meets Detective Moon Jang-yeol (Lee Min-ki) and gets intertwined in cases. Jang-yeol is demoted to the rural village Mujin due to being a terrific hothead back in Seoul. To return back to the city, he seeks Ye-boon and starts uncovering various cases. However, their fate changes when Kim Sun-woo (Suho) arrives at Mujin and works at a grocery store. Though he seems kind and polite, he has deadly mysteries behind him.

Han Ji-min was last seen in Our Blues (2022), Lee Min-ki’s previous hit was My Liberation Notes (2022), Suho’s last venture was Besties in Wonderland (2022) and Suho Hurdle (Since 2022).

Netflix describes the series as: “A psychic vet and a detective join forces to crack small-town cases — but their skills are tested when they unravel a chilling serial killer mystery.” Both Moon Jang-yeol and Bong Ye-boon will have to encounter a deadly crime case and unravel the truth while being unaware of the serial killer who is right next to them.

The Korean TV series episodes will air from August 12, 2023, each with a runtime of 1 hour. Episode 5 of the series will air on August 26 on Netflix at 8:30 pm.

The shaman General MacArthur will find the corpse of Sia and the police will start investigating. This news will torment Jang-yeol and Ye-boon since their efforts to save her have gone in vain. During the investigation, Ye-boon will and Jang-yeol will uncover more truths about certain deaths having connections.

Sun-woo and Ye-boon will start hanging out often and the latter will learn more about him. Additionally, a cold mystery surrounding him will slowly be shown. Jang-yeol and Ye-boon will get into big trouble with regard to a case. Ye-boon’s life will be at risk and Jang-yeol will save her. She will also feel the spark for Jang-yeol as she keeps going out with him to solve cases.

Moreover, she’ll understand that he has gone through certain issues to have become a cold person. However, since he really is a nice man, Ye-boon will be ready to aid him.

Ye-boon tries her power on Ok-hee and learns that the more she meddles with someone’s back she can read their past memories and also select from a ray of memories. Since Jang-yeol decided to give up on Ted Chang’s case and save Ye-boon and Sia, it costs him fame. To make up for this, he forces Ye-boon to help him solve other cases so that he can leave for Seoul soon.

Ye-boon assists him and in one day they figure out various criminals. When Ye-boon tries to escape, he makes her perform the iron palm and fist training. When it burns her fingertips, she visits the convenience store to get bandaids. Over there, Sun-woo treats her hands and they both have dinner together. They learn about each other’s late mothers and decide to become friends. Moreover, he adds that there is someone he likes, and Ye-boon believes that it is her.

The next day, Ye-boon realises that her power’s strength has reduced due to the burnt fingertips. At the same time, Jang-yeol gets assigned a big case where he needs to find the culprit who stole the soon-to-be president’s donor list. When he learns about Ye-boon’s condition, he buys all possible hand cosmetics and massages her palms. Thankfully her power returns back to its original form.

The following day, Ye-boon and Jang-yeol start with the search but don’t get much evidence. They then decide to try the power on all the people gathered at the rally. With the help of Ok-hee and her girls, Ye-boon manages to touch all people’s backs and learns certain details. However, when she catches one woman and reads her memory, she denies telling the truth to Jang-yeol.

Back at her home, she reminisces the memory, and the viewers learn that it is her grandfather who has stolen the donor list. On the other hand, Sia recovers and goes about with her life. When she meets Sun-woo at the store, she finds him cute and gives her number to him. On her way back, her car breaks down due to an accident. Then a mysterious man comes and kills her in an isolated place.
