Behind Your Touch Ending Explained: The new South Korean thriller rom-com Behind Your Touch (힙하게) directed by Kim Suk-Yoon and written by Lee Nam-Kyu, stars prominent actors like Han Ji-min, Lee Min-ki, EXO’s Suho, Joo Min-kyung, Yang Jae-seong, Park Sung-yeon and others. The series is produced by JTBC, Tving and Netflix.
The series follows the lives of a kind veterinarian and a grumpy detective. Bong Ye-boon (Han Ji-min) is a veterinarian who has psychic abilities. She can see the past of any person or animal when she touches their rear end. On the go, she meets Detective Moon Jang-yeol (Lee Min-ki) and gets intertwined in cases. Jang-yeol is demoted to the rural village Mujin due to being a terrific hothead back in Seoul. To return back to the city, he seeks Ye-boon and starts uncovering various cases. However, their fate changes when Kim Sun-woo (Suho) arrives at Mujin and works at a grocery store. Though he seems kind and polite, he has deadly mysteries behind him.
Han Ji-min was last seen in Our Blues (2022), Lee Min-ki’s previous hit was My Liberation Notes (2022), and Suho’s last ventures were Besties in Wonderland (2022) and Suho Hurdle (Since 2022).

The thriller rom-com really put a huge mystery before us and unraveled the main villain only in the last two episodes. From the beginning, the weightage was on Mr. Cha, who killed Ye-boon’s mother. When things started to heat up, he was murdered by an unknown killer. After his death, the suspicion of Sun-woo increased, making Jang-yeol watch him closely. Despite every evidence leading to Sun-woo, in the end, he was killed brutally by the serial killer. Did Ye-boon find the killer? Of course she did but it was too late.
Who is the Killer?
The leading killer who was hiding in plain sight is none other than the Shaman, Park Jong-bae. He was the one who revealed during a ritual that the killer was near them but nobody was able to suspect him. Nevertheless, it was not Ye-boon who found his true identity first but Sun-woo and Gwang-sik. Despite not having any psychic abilities, Sun-woo found evidence to prove the Shaman guilty.
One day after murdering Gwang-sik, Jong-bae rushed into his house to escape but he bumped into Sun-woo. Without his knowledge, he smeared some blood on Sun-woo’s palm. This made Sun-woo suspect the Shaman and as he thought, he indeed was the killer. But on the day when he prepared to tell Ye-boon, Jong-bae also assisted her. To protect Ye-boon, Sun-woo sacrificed himself and made a piece of evidence.
How Did Ye-boon Find Out About Jong-bae’s Identity?
After Sun-woo’s death, Ye-boon decided to stop assisting Jang-yeol. However, Jang-yeol who understood about the blackout trick, warned Ye-boon that the serial killer uses a black-tinted sunglass to evade memories. When Ye-boon went to Jong-bae’s house to give a gift for Sun-woo’s funeral, she found him wearing black sunglasses.
She immediately touched his back and found a memory of him killing Sun-woo. She also looked at how before taking his last breath, Sun-woo provided a hint about his mobile phone in Arabic. Jong-bae then allowed Ye-boon to leave after warning her to not reveal about him if she doesn’t want another person to die. The next day, she subtly gave a small paper with Sun-woo’s phone password to Jang-yeol.

When Jang-yeol checked Sun-woo’s phone, he retrieved a recording of Jong-bae confronting Sun-woo while stabbing him to death. The police immediately arrested him with evidence.
Why Was Ok-hee in Danger?
Jong-bae who was prepared for his arrest, previously kidnapped Ok-hee and put her in an abandoned place. Using this, he somehow made Ye-boon and Jang-yeol help him escape. During the search for Ok-hee, Jang-yeol’s enemy Seung-il came and took the opportunity to kill Jang-yeol. But thankfully, Ye-boon and Jang-yeol escape the danger and even make Seung-il surrender.
Meanwhile, with the help of the sounds that Ye-boon heard while reading Jong-bae’s memories, she helped the rest of the people close to Ok-hee to find her. After she was found, the duo proceeded to once and for all stop Jong-bae.
Was Jong-bae Finally Caught?
Yes! With the help of the Ye-boon’s power, Jang-yeol and she tracked him down. Jong-bae in fact took Ye-boon hostage, but the duo had an immediate plan to make him surrender. Jong-bae was finally arrested and sent to prison. The town of Mujin was safe once again. Moreover, Jang-yeol was requested to return to Seoul after his successful mission in Mujin.
What Happened to Jang-yeol and Ye-boon?
Jang-yeol asked Ye-boon to meet him up often if she ever came to Seoul. After eight months, the viewers were shown that Ye-boon had become a television sensation known for her ability to talk to animals. She also one day visited Seoul for a show and met Jang-yeol. She agreed to help him on a case and successfully found the clue. After that, the couple prepared to go on a date and kickstart their relationship.
