To reach the audience worldwide, Netflix is coming up with a new docuseries, Beckham, the story of the most charismatic personalities in the world of football and how he became a global phenomenon. Such documentaries offer an immersive and often emotionally charged exploration of the world of sports, encompassing a diverse array of subjects from legendary athlete biographies to historic events and behind-the-scenes glimpses of teams.

Beckham Synopsis

David Beckham is an English football player who gained international fame for his on-field play as well as for his highly publicized personal life.

In the trailer, we see archival video footage from the former English footballer’s childhood as well as his early days as a footballer, encapsulating his modest upbringing in East London. From his time at the Premier League outfit Manchester United to his move to Real Madrid, the documentary series promises to tell untold tales from the life of David Beckham.

The series has also shed light on Victoria Beckham’s relationship with him. David and Victoria open up about the challenges they both faced while keeping their relationship a secret and out of the media’s sight. Additionally, the footballer had to deal with the consequences of having someone in his life who suddenly took precedence over the sport he loved on his priority list. “It took a toll on me that I never even knew myself.”

In the trailer, we can also see Victoria speaking about how the two met and the early days of their relationship. Alongside the coverage of his personal life, we can also see the difficulties he went through when he received the red card in the World Cup, transforming from the most loved footballer to the most hated one overnight, and how he didn’t give up on himself even after the backlash.

Directed and Written by Ben Sempey, who is known for his work in Samuel L. Jackson: Did I Stutter? and Nascar: Lead Legacy. The docuseries stars David Beckham, Victoria Beckham and their friends and family. The documentary series is produced by Brian Aabech.
