With just 2 episodes out, Barry season 4 has already become the talk since all the main characters will either have terrible conclusions or peace. Directed by and starring Bill Hader, Barry is a dark comedy series that follows the story of an actor turned assassin running away from his haunting past. The other notable cast includes Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Henry Winkler, Anthony Carrigan, and Michael Irby.
While Barry (Bill Hader) is the main guy who is constantly on the chase, season 4 has surprises for the viewers. Not just Berkman, but now all the important characters’ lives are flipped since it’s the series finale. Most notably, Sally (Sarah Goldberg), Barry’s girlfriend, is on the brink of losing her entire career for being the serial killer’s partner. Even worse, if the truth about Shane comes out, Sally’s life will hit the ocean’s bottom.
Who is Shane? Why is Sally Worried About It?
In season 3’s final episode, so many unexpected events popped up, including Sally killing someone. After failing to kill Barry, a biker gang guy Shane Taylor finally gets a shot at executing the murder plan. At Barry’s place, when Sally is present, Shane knocks him unconscious. He beats him to a pulp before punching Sally. Shane then chokes Sally, and the latter fights for her life. Sadly, Barry is still unconscious, so Sally’s fate hangs on the cliff.

Just when we think Sally’s done for real, she takes a sharp item and stabs Shane in the neck. A bleeding Shane walks inside a booth to check the injury Sally caused. Before he could help himself, a furious Sally takes a bat, goes inside the booth, and beats Shane till he dies. As she keeps giving him a blow, Barry wakes up and witnesses his girlfriend’s actions fear-struck.

Barry Buries Shane
After murdering Shane, Sally breaks down inside the booth. Barry comforts her and asks her to leave, taking responsibility for Shane’s death. The professional hitman then carries the dead guy’s corpse and finishes off with the burial. Just then, Detective Albert (the ex-marine and friend of Barry whom he saved in the Afghanistan war) catches Barry and demands an explanation. He brokenheartedly asks about Chris’ murder, to which Barry sobs. Albert leaves Barry as payback for saving him in the war.

Barry then calls Sally and tells her that they’re leaving for Los Angeles and also says he loves her. But a shocked Sally replies, “Oh, do you?” After this incident, Barry gets a call from Gene, pays a visit, and boom gets set up and is arrested.
Why Would Sally Go to Jail?
In season 4, Sally visits Barry in jail, and her first question and concern are about Shane’s body. Barry confirms her that it is taken care of and that she doesn’t need to worry about it. But is that so? We know that Barry would take the blame, but there is a good chance of Sally’s name coming in. We can also expect the truth regarding Shane’s murder to come up if Barry or Sally blurt out.

First things first, will the body be found? Yes, it can be because Albert was in that desert area where Barry has buried multiple people. Since Barry is now going to be working with the FBI, he might as well reveal his murders and the reasons behind them. So the possibility of finding Shane’s corpse is high.
Nevertheless, after Sally asks about Shane instead of asking about Barry at the prison, it shows how terrible she is and makes one question whether she was really in love with Barry.
