Apartment 404 Episode 6 Preview
We travel back in time to 1984. The opening scene of a man being chased by thugs feels like a Korean action film. He gets held back while he screams ‘It’s not a crime to love’. The cast looks dashing and gorgeous as they wear the hot fashion of the 80s.
A woman comes crying to them, showing a picture of her loved one and asks them if they have seen that man. Lee Jung-ha reassures the woman and they set off to solve yet another case. Based on true events, the 6 members find themselves in the middle of what seems to be an action romance film – with the thugs breaking many items in a place, scaring all of them.
On the other hand, the distrust amongst the cast continues as they stop each other from solving the case through hilarious tactics. From pushing each other to working hard during mini-games, it seems we are in for yet another wild ride! The ending scene elicits laughter as Jae-seok is seen alone in an apartment, throwing a ball around. Why is he left alone? Is he a spy in episode 6?

Apartment 404 Episode 5 Recap
We are taken back to 1991 as the members find themselves in a conspiracy involving poisoning of residents and bottled water. In the 1970s, the country began creating bottled water for foreign athletes during the Olympics. The Koreans at the time would only drink tap water, which was boiled. In the 1990s, the benefits of clean drinking water and mineral water became widespread, leading many Koreans to try and buy bottled water. However, the government saw that many were illegally selling it from their homes and put a stop to it. This made bottled water extremely rare and considered a luxury item.
After seeing a few residents collapse and convulse after drinking coffee made by the resident representative, they try to find connections between her, the illegal business she ran from home and the poisoned residents. Split into two teams with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Cha Tae-hyun and Yoo Jae-suk in one team and Oh Na-ra, Yang Se-chan and Lee Jung-ha in the other, they work hard to find clues.
Through two games with hilarious results, Jennie’s team win two clues but the other team is not far behind.

The detective informs the cast that the hospitalized residents have blue rashes from a toxin in the coffee. He confirms the representative is not the culprit. The cast must find the culprit’s belongings and put them in a police car by 5 PM to win. As they search the apartment, the lights go off, and they discover they have blue rashes from the representative’s drinks.
The second clue tells them that the toxin is Phenol, which was present in tap water in 1991 due to the waste spillage by a company. To hide the incident, they used a company insider to instigate Person A to blame the representative as she was an easy target – through her illegal sale of bottled water from her apartment.
Through more clues, they first place Jung-ha as the culprit, which turns out to be wrong. With one chance left, Se-chan reveals that the clues point to Woo-il, the security guard and recurring character of the series. They set off to find him and Jae-seok sprints to the finish line, making him the sole winner of the episode.
