Pokemon

The legendary show that had us hooked since our childhood, this is the anime that cannot be missed out on Thanksgiving. Following Ash and his friends as they look for new Pokemon is just as exciting as when we caught Pokemon of our own some years back. He isn’t the only one trying to catch ’em all, but seeing this show with the family is what we need once in a while.

Sweetness and Lightning

Following a heartwarming journey of a single father, his daughter, and his student who unexpectedly finds her way to their dinner table; this is a show that is simply fulfilling. Don’t go here hoping for romance as its focus is on something bigger- bonds formed over food. Thanksgiving is so much about the food on the table and this anime follows this theme while forming beautiful bonds between the characters.

The plot follows a single father who has recently lost his wife and is struggling to take care of his daughter. A chance encounter brings him to his student and the three begin a journey of rediscovering food and trying their best to prepare a homely meal.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Finally, we have the series that brings the best of both worlds as it mixes familial emotions with an unforgettable adventure. This show really touches your heart as you see the bond between the two brothers while they are on an adventure to find what they have lost. This anime is wholesome, but this version is best suited to watch with the family because if you know, you know.

The plot follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric whose failed venture into forbidden alchemy leaves one without a hand and the other without a body.
