American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3 Review: The third episode of the horror franchise’s latest season is now out! The episode is titled ‘When the Bough Breaks’ and is directed by Jennifer Lynch with writer Halley Feiffer. The runtime for the episode is 38 minutes.
American Horror Story Delicate is based on Danielle Valentine’s book Delicate Condition. The series is created by AHS’ very own Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. 20th Century Fox Television produces it for FX on Hulu.
The cast for the series includes old faces and new ones too. Emma Roberts is an oldie in the AHS universe who is loved by everyone and is set to headline this season. We also have Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare and Leslie Grossman as cast members. This season’s notable newcomers include Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Matt Czuchry and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. The recurring cast members are Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Odessa A’zion, Julie White, Debra Monk, Dominic Burgess, and Zachary Quinto.

American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3 Review
American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3 unfolds with what happens in Anna’s life after her miscarriage. As shown in the last episode, Anna has been informed by the doctor that she is no longer pregnant. However, throughout the course of the episode, it seems otherwise.
American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3 starts with Anna in the woods playing with a baby in a white dress. It is a moment of pure joy until it isn’t when she can no longer find the baby and her dress starts turning red and she ends up screaming. What we realize from this is that it is one of those vivid dreams Anna has been having. She is actually on her way back to Talia’s safe house and distorts.
We have Dex to support Anna and, even Siobhan comes in but, nothing seems to help Anna recover from her condition of experiencing the most weird things ever including losing track of time, getting locked in the basement and more. Additionally, she still firmly believes that there is someone on the loose stalking her, who has hurt her baby intentionally. As the episode progresses, it seems like Anna is not losing her mind and there are actually people. But most importantly, her baby might not just be dead as assumed.

American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3 does not do something as drastic and eerie as the last one. The second episode felt rather intense and strange and anxiety-inducing in so many aspects. This one, on the other hand, takes the spookiness down a notch. One may even say that it is a rather comfortable watch to sit through.
Nonetheless, this is an important episode by the end of the day because we get to see things beyond what Anna sees. So far, we lived in the same delusion or reality that Anna experienced. However, with episode three, we have come to a point where we as the audience know a little more than our protagonist. We are slowly becoming an onlooker at the events and hand, giving us an objective stool to stand on.
Moreover American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3 has some fun easter eggs and name drop moments, especially from Kim Kardashian wich was a lovely catch amidst all the gloom and horror.
American Horror Story Delicate Episode 3: Final Thoughts
In one line, we can say that it is so far so good. Understandably this episode has been a step back but, given both two and three are by the same directors, there seems to be a purpose in this move that we will possibly find out soon. It was overall a good running and hopefully we will get more focus on the cult aspect soon in the future.
