Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat Trailer Breakdown

The two minutes sixteen-second clip starts with an influencer breaking down the definition of love in general. And then switches to an infamous DJ (A character from whom the film borrows its title), who is somehow the binding element to the story. Furthermore, it doesn’t take long to figure out the two parallel tracks of the film. One with conventional small-town characters, and the second with the breeze of modernity.

The next few flash cut are layered with the soothing soundtrack of the film (composed by Amit Trivedi), which feature both Alaya F and Karan Mehta in polar opposite avatars.

The first one portrays them as old-fashioned lovers, while the second takes a more gen Z approach. Later, after short hints of their budding romance, we get to see the respective problems in their mutual connection. The usual suspects here are societal prejudice, past incidents, and the obvious bad timing.

The next few scenes find the lovers on an escape route. While being held back by the preconceived norms of the conventional world they live in. Moreover, this is exactly what connects both the parallel tracks, and makes the entire thing move in unison.

What follows next are some classic Anurag Kashyap nuances, involving hard-hitting dialogues and improvised situations. The official trailer also makes a comment on the perception of love in society, and its various understanding. Furthermore, it ends on a comical note, after Karan Mehta’s character massively misinterprets his online popularity numbers.
