Adrishyam Episode 9 Review

Adrishyam Episode 9 introduces us to a new operation. This one is titled ‘Operation Siyasat’. Coming from the name the episode sounded like a political game being played in lieu of terrorism. However, with only one episode it is a long-shot prediction to make.

The episode starts with the dropping off of a gun consignment with the help of helicopters. While this takes place, somewhere outside the country a foreign man receives the notice that work has begun in India. Are these two related? Well, only time will tell.

With the mysterious operation playing in the background, we have BIA working on some interesting cases of their own. In the last episode, we saw how the shootout left Ravi in the hospital recovering. As one of their officers recovers, we have the other one- Parvathi work on a man named Nola’s case. On his way to be freshly released from jail, BIA has tapped into Nola’s activity connecting him to the dropping of the consignment. And, now it has become Parvathi’s task to track this man’s activity before he harms the nation.

In the personal life arena, turns out Ravi and Shilpa are having a smooth sailing boat after his surgery and being on bed rest. Meanwhile, Parvathi’s life takes a shocking turn with the entry of his husband, Vikram, directly in her life aka interfering with her parenting of Khushi. Being competent at making a perfect balance between professional and personal life, Ravi and Parvathi handle their respective situations well.

Adrishyam Episode 9: Final Thoughts

Overall, Adrishyam Episode 9 was fresh and interesting. There is a pattern in the show which is when they start off the operation, it usually looks engaging compared to how they decide to proceed with it. I am not sure if it is a plot issue or an execution error but, it has been consistent. There is always a lot of promise, as there was with Operation Nishabd. But, the way things went down was rather rushed and somewhat anti-climatic with that last shootout.

Maybe there is hope for this operation’s trajectory to be different. However, I wouldn’t rely completely on knowing how promising the pilot of the spy operation is as it has a tendency to go downhill from here on out. On the other hand, the personal life story telling has improved and Shilpa’s presence seems more delightful than ever before.
