He tells his older son that Lee Jun-kyung convinced him to steal the Adamas and run away to the Philippines afterwards, promising that stealing it would result in a great future for him. Taken over by greed, Chang-woo jumps into the plan. It makes Su-hyeon angry, and he asks why his father had to die due to it.

Meanwhile, Seo-hee is getting interrogated for bringing the vest to SIH while Hyuk-pil and his team are trying to upload a video to the internet, which they are constantly failing to do. Frustrated, he asks to call a press conference. On the other hand, Tae-sung realises that things have reached their end and it’s probably time to lay the secret investigation to rest.

Before that can happen, though, the chairman pulls Tae-sung into a private fishing party. On their way to fishing, Chairman Kwon asks him to work directly under him, and the atmosphere is extremely tense between the two. It’s clear that the chairman hasn’t called him simply to fish and as they go to the boat, Tae-sung realises that as well.

As they meet up at a secluded house in the middle of the lake, they come across a man with a bag over his head. It’s Jun-kyung and the chairman wants to know whether he colluded with Chang-woo to steal the Adamas. Jun-kyung looks like he’s seeing a ghost and vehemently denies the charge, but the chairman isn’t taking any of his crap.

As he starts to walk away, Jun-kyung agrees to the charge without any more options and tells the chairman that he has been trying to find the Adamas for the last 22 years. He begs for a chance, and the chairman agrees to give it to him if he tells him the truth. Without much choice, he tells the chairman what happened that night – a terrible tragedy which happened thanks to a misunderstanding.

As both Chang-woo and Jun-kyung spill the beans, the chairman realises that Jun-kyung doesn’t know where the real Adamas is and asks Tae-sung to get rid of him. Tae-sung, after thinking about it for a minute, kicks him overboard. Meanwhile, the police refuse to believe Seo-hee’s claims and ask her who was the mastermind behind the bombing – Hyuk-pil or Su-hyeon.

On the other hand, Hyuk-pil, appearing for the press conference, finds Hyun-jo in the mix who starts to say things that shouldn’t be going out. Speaking privately, Hyun-jo threatens him, saying that he will paint his men who died in the previous explosion as terrorists, and things won’t go down well after that.

Hyuk-pil tells him to do so, and Hyun-jo mentions that he wants to settle this politically. He calls the president and hands the phone over to Hyuk-pil and from the looks of it, things are not going in his favour. Hyun-jo asks him to resign and tells him to be thankful that they are only asking him to do so.

Meanwhile, Ms Kwon gets poisoned in prison and gets admitted to the hospital. As a doctor prepares to inject her with something, she makes a run for it in order to save her life. She falls down the stairs and faces sure death when a man shoots her murderer and takes her to meet Hye-soo.

Back at the prison, Chang-woo refuses to divulge more information fearing that the chairman will kill all of them if he says too much. Su-hyeon, frustrated at his father, tells him that this shouldn’t be the last time he sees him alive. After he leaves, Chang-woo goes to meet someone unexpected.

Meanwhile, Woo-sin goes to meet Im Duk-soo and asks him whether his target was only one person behind the heinous crime that he committed – Haesong’s financial advisor and whether he killed everyone else for him. Duk-soo, even though acting nonchalant at first, looks rather uncomfortable and tells Woo-sin that he’s making a mistake. Woo-sin, however, knows that and their conversation will go out in a matter of minutes.

Outside the prison, both brothers face people from Haesong. Unfortunately, Su-hyeon gets a visit from Sun, whom he immediately starts to strangle. She mentions that he should go and meet Seo-hee and that she will come to murder him in a day if he is unable to find the Adamas. Meanwhile, Seo-hee gets released, and Su-hyeon comes to her rescue just as Hyuk-pil resigns.

Hyun-jo laughs and tells her to try but that he will be getting the Adamas back that day itself. At the prison, Chang-woo is getting transported somewhere and gets tased when he asks too many questions.

With the walls closing in, Tae-sung makes a desperate decision – he shoots the chairman. Meanwhile, Su-hyeon asks for Hyuk-pil’s help to find Woo-sin, who is nowhere to be found. Chang-woo, meanwhile, wakes up with a bound Woo-sin in a shipping container. As news of the chairman’s shooting incident reaches everyone, Hyun-jo rushes to his father and Hye-soo wishes for him to die.

Adamas Episode 13 Review

Still From Adamas Episode 13

Well, what a shocking episode with so much truth. We spent most of the episode in the past, understanding Chang-woo and Jun-kyung’s moves on the night of the twins’ father’s death. It’s an interesting episode wherein the past connects so many dots in the present.

Now with Team A creating a ruckus everywhere, Su-hyeon and Woo-sin’s desperation becomes all the more apparent. However, I have a feeling that Chang-woo is the naïve thief that he is trying to portray himself to be. I doubt he doesn’t have more going on underneath the surface than he is letting on.

Meanwhile, Woo-sin and Su-hyeon continue to be the most interesting tag team and make some really good decisions.

Is the Adamas right underneath all of our noses? Maybe, we’ll have to wait till the next episode to maybe know.
