A Night at the Kindergarten: All About Piotr Witkowski’s Upcoming Polish Comedy Film

A Night at the Kindergarten is an upcoming Polish comedy film, set to be released on Netflix this week. The film is created by Marek Baranowski and the director Rafał Skalski, who previously had the opportunity to collaborate on the series Glitter.

The film will have a runtime of about 1 hour and 37 minutes and will follow a man, who must protect his girlfriend’s son from being expelled. However, it is not a typical comedy and can be considered a bit dark, looking at the topics discussed in the film.

A Night at the Kindergarten Plot/Synopsis

The official synopsis of the film reads, “A young man crashes a school play rehearsal to prevent a group of teachers and eccentric parents from expelling his girlfriend’s son.” The kindergarten dress rehearsal of the nativity play takes a bad turn.

A meeting in kindergarten turns into a judgment on a naughty 5-year-old. Eric, the partner of the boy’s mother, must stand up for the child.
A night in kindergarten is an unusual Christmas story. It shows Poland in a nutshell seen through the eyes of stressed parents and one aspiring stepfather who accidentally finds himself in the middle of parental hell.

In the trailer, we see that while staying overnight at the school, Eric overhears one of the teachers trying to expel Tytus. From then on starts his ulterior plan to ruin everything that teacher has planned and in the process reveal the truth about other parents as well.
