A Good Day to Be a Dog Kdrama: ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo Transforms Into a Radiant High School Maths Teacher We Never Had

ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo is ready to make his comeback as the high school maths teacher we always dreamt of having, but never really did, in A Good Day to Be a Dog Kdrama (오늘도 사랑스럽개). MBC has released new stills of the show that grant us the first look at Eunwoo’s character in the upcoming South Korean series. And as always, the singer’s fans are overjoyed about his new acting comeback.

The MBC TV fantasy romance series is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name written by Lee Hye, and also stars Park Gyu-young and Lee Hyun-woo in the lead roles alongside the ASTRO member. The forthcoming title has been directed by Kim Dae-woong and written by Baek In-ah, and will also star Ryu Abel, Yoon Hyun-soo, Jung Young-joo, Lee Seo-el and others as supporting cast members.

Having last appeared in the 2022-23 webseries Island, Eunwoo (차은우) is set to take on a new character’s face as he’ll be seen playing the titular role of Jin Seo-won, a high school teacher who’s afraid of dogs due to his childhood trauma. The newly revealed pictures of the actor shed a radiant light on him.

All three stills present his stunning transformation into the attractive teaching role, which is a novel development for his acting career as he’s so far been generally sticking to the image of a high school student in some of his most popular shows like My ID is Gangnam Beauty and True Beauty. As can be anticipated, Eunwoo’s new handsome character will be a popular teacher among students for obvious reasons, but even other than his usual charismatic presence onscreen, it’ll be even more interesting to eventually figure out what led to his traumatic experience with dogs during his childhood.

On the other hand, though not in the pictures attached below, Gyu-young will be donning the role of Han Hae-na, a woman who turns into a dog at midnight on being kissed by the “wrong man”. And so the case appears to be that ASTRO Eunwoo is the only “cheat key” to resolving her curse, but his fear of dogs is bound to create some comical chaos in the initial chapters of the show.

As for the other two leading cast members’ previous works, Park Gyu-young is known for having recently led the Netflix series Celebrity as Seo A-ri. She’s also played pivotal roles in shows like It’s Okay Not to Be Okay, The Devil Judge, Sweet Home, and will also stepping in as a new cast member for the upcoming sequel of the hit global phenomenon Squid Game. On the other hand, Lee Hyun-woo has starred in shows like Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area and The Liar and His Lover.
