Twelve Episode 4 Recap
The episode opens with the viewers finally meeting Hae-tae years ago, then a young boy, who was made to resemble all the angels, but more so Tae-san. Although Tae-san is wary of him, Ma-rok encourages them to get along, and the two bond almost instantly and soon enough, they become inseparable.
In the present, the angels get together for a meal, while Sa-min thinks back to the time he saw Hae-tae getting killed and the Soul Stones leaving him when O-gwi interrupts his thoughts. Ma-rok, meanwhile, tells Tae-san about O-gwi getting awakened and informs him that Mirr must never come in contact with him. He further tells him about sending Won-seung to track Sa-min, and although Tae-san is annoyed, he can’t deny that they need to be prepared for anything at this point.

As O-gwi tracks down the second Soul Stone, Mal-sook is ecstatic to have Mirr back, but there’s tension in the air, with the evil spirits among them and no one having any powers other than Mirr. That night, Ma-rok and Tae-san break the news to the team, who are all left absolutely baffled and concerned. Elsewhere, Won-seung successfully tracks Sa-min down and follows him, but somehow loses him inside a tunnel.
With voices tearing Tae-san apart, he learns about Sa-min’s location while O-gwi thinks about how to get to Mirr, bypassing Tae-san.

The next morning, Tae-san and Ma-rok visit the tunnel when the pendant starts to glow, and the others inform him that Geum-soon’s life is in danger. They immediately rush to help her, and after getting rid of the evil spirits, they rescue her with difficulty. Meanwhile, Sa-min and a few of his men attack the house, and Mirr and Bang-wool are the only ones remaining to stop them.
Twelve Episode 4 Review

Well, Twelve continues on a boring streak that consists of far too many food sequences, not enough action, barring Ma Dong-seok fighting people, and no story progression beyond hints. We are halfway down the show, and we have yet to see the powers of the angels, yet to see O-gwi doing some cool antagonist things and yet to see anything interesting.
Why we are getting glimpses of the supernatural backstory and minute after minute of Tae-san’s relationship with a random human being is beyond me. Does she have the Soul Stone? I should hope not. So what’s the point, honestly? I don’t understand where the show is going with the plot progression, and I am very concerned that it will drop a whole host of things in the last 4 episodes that will certainly be overwhelming and rushed.
