The 100 Girlfriends Season 2 Episode 9 Recap

The 100 Girlfriends Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Still

This episode embraces its signature brand of absurdity. It kicks off with a sudden announcement that Earth’s climate is rapidly shifting, potentially plunging the world into a new Ice Age. Naturally, Aijo is deeply concerned, but his girlfriends are completely unfazed, too preoccupied with their own hairstyling sessions. This eventually leads to all of them getting dramatic makeovers courtesy of Meido.

True to the show’s chaotic nature, the situation takes an even wilder turn when Hahari drinks a mysterious hair growth formula. The result? Her hair transforms into a monstrous entity with tentacle-like strands that develop a mind of their own, intent on wreaking havoc. Before long, her uncontrollable locks engulf the entire planet.

With disaster unfolding, only Aijo can restore order. His journey to save Hahari is aided by her first husband, who helps him reach her just in time. And, in classic 100 Girlfriends fashion, the solution to this bizarre predicament is exactly what you’d expect; a kiss.

Once again, this episode delivers over-the-top antics with little regard for logic, leaning heavily into its ridiculous, suggestive humour.

The time for Aijo to pick another girlfriend for his family has finally arrived. This episode starts with the members of the Rentaro family trying out their makeup skills and sharpening their beauty routines with the help of

Mimimi. That is when Aijo realizes that he has a beautiful-looking classmate who barely demands any attention from anyone. She has huge bangs that not only hide her face but also her eyes as she tries to stay as unnoticeable as possible.

Aijo, however, definitely observes her and even saves her from a possible accident. A signboard was comically coming towards her, and she was more concerned about her bangs moving and showing her face to everyone. Unsurprisingly, Aijo falls in love with her at first sight and realizes she is his 11th soulmate. They both hit it off, but there is one glaring issue in pursuing this relationship. This girl called Meme is too shy for her own good.

On top of that, her shyness is so potent that she almost vanishes the moment someone notices her. What she leaves behind is a stuffed toy that she herself made. After much hiding and seeking, Aijo finally convinces her to date him. But a massive hurdle still remains. He must make Meme comfortable enough for her to stand in front of his other girlfriends.

The solution? An elaborate hide-and-seek game where the last one standing will get a special gift. Needless to say, this episode was also fully focused on Aijo getting another girl and impressing her with his unmatched Rizz. And yes, we do get a kiss towards the end as well.

This episode was not very funny, but it was pretty entertaining nonetheless. The character of Meme is an interesting one, and she will definitely be a fun addition to the family. Now, we will have to see how she will live with the other girlfriends, considering the Rentaro family is growing at a tremendous pace.
