My Family Review

The plot of the show follows Fausto, a terminally ill patient, who makes his family and friends make promises to him before his death. He hopes to see them all together and also succeeds in doing so slowly through his message and memories that bring them closer after his death. But with wishes that make four people with troubles of their own come together, will things end in the way he wants them to?

The plot of the show is marvelous and moving in ways that really make you think of family and what it takes for people you love to be together. The vibe of the show is soothing, and heartbreaking, yet filled with happiness and love where you can feel Fausto’s worries, love, trust, and every other emotion that makes up his character. Yet, you don’t just get to know about him as the main character, but also about every single person through his point of view as the show plays out.

I love how every episode is named after one of the people he trusted and the piece of himself he has entrusted in their hands. He knows his legacy will be carried on in the hands of these people and has beautifully handed them a piece of himself that is hard to not think about. It so clearly plays out that it is hard to miss in any way. His death becomes the beginning of this show in a true sense as he lives through them in every episode.

My Family Review: Eduardo Scarpetta and Gaia Weiss

Eduardo Scarpetta has wonderfully portrayed this character who is filled with life and is unafraid of death until the end. The way he carries this splot without many appearances makes you fall for the show. But he’s not the only one taking over the screen. Every member of the cast has outdone themselves with their performance as you not only find yourself being pulled by their characters but also relate to them to a certain extent. They all bring together this beautiful show, and it is because of the way every member fits perfectly in their roles that you can see the magic taking over.

Finally, the plot of the show may seem similar to some of our favourite films out there, but the beauty of this show is the familial relationships that are being emphasised. To bring all these people together and help us understand every single one of them is not an easy task, but this show does it beautifully.

However, the ending leaves me with the feeling of facing a cliffhanger and I wish to get a closure soon.
