The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies Episode 5 Recap

Here, we see the story from the perspective of the mischievous cat assigned to watch over Mimori. Through his eyes, we learn just how much he underestimated her. He acknowledges that Mimori is a kind-hearted girl, willing to sacrifice things she enjoys. He also notes her keen observational skills, making her quick to catch on to things—traits that made her easy to control since she rarely formed attachments.

However, everything changes when Mimori, who never used to resist, finds someone she truly cares about. She’s no longer a puppet who will do whatever the cat wants.

Meanwhile, Mira is struggling to come up with a new gift for his beloved, feeling like he’s running out of ideas. That’s when his underlings bring him news they believe will please him greatly.

When he goes to check it out, he finds Mimori, captured and in shackles before him. The scene is both humorous and surprising; at first, Mira is furious and quickly punishes his subordinates for their actions. But then he realizes he’s somewhat intrigued by the situation, battling a flood of inappropriate thoughts.

Mira tries to help Mimori escape, but the scenario proves too tempting for him. Mimori’s natural shyness and submissive demeanour only add to the challenge for him.

In episode 6, we might see a new magical girl who was trained by another weird-looking cat man. We still do not know how this girl will be and maybe she will be a puppet girl who only listens to her trainer. Mimori might get in trouble because of the new magical girl and might also be kicked out of her job.
