Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 3 Recap

In today’s episode, the first half was relatively calm as the training arc began with ex-Hashira Usui. His training methods are intense, focusing on building the trainees’ base strength with long runs through the mountains, steep cliff climbs and enforced eating after workouts. Usui is aided by his three wives, who prepare meals for the students.

Tanjiro joins the training after recovering, bringing his characteristic positivity and energy. Notably absent are Inosuke and Zenitsu, suggesting they might be training elsewhere. This part of the episode is uneventful, as Obanai hints at it being the calm before the storm.

Towards the end, there are small but crucial details that hint at future developments. Usui’s return to action after a long hiatus raises questions about his retirement, as he proves to be much stronger than a standard demon slayer. Both Tanjiro and the trainees clearly need more time to match his level. Overall, the episode ended with Tanjiro going to Muichiro for the next step in his training. It seems this season will focus exclusively on the training arc, potentially stretching the storyline.
