Pretty Little Liars Summer School Episode 4 Review

Pretty Little Liars Summer School Episode 4 opens with a spookyspaghetti visual where a masked Archie is on his way to skin Rose’s face while she is alive. As disturbing as this scene is, it is confirmed that this horror website is what is ruining the lives of our final five girls this season. it would not be surprising to see that the website was created or is run by someone directly related to the Waters’ tragedy.

Following the events of the last episode, all five girls are extremely scared. They think therapy will help and, decide to schedule an emergency session. But, surprise, surprise- Dr. Sullivan is very ‘coincidentally’ hurt and cannot give them a session. Is someone targeting the girls again and stopping them from getting any help or support? Looks like it.

So the ultimate plan the girls come up with is finding out where Rose Waters actually is, so they can go and hunt her down. Mouse is, of course, the tech person for all of it. Meanwhile, some good things happen in the lives of the other girls with Tabby getting a call back from the horror film festival, Noa taking a day off, Faran reconciling things with her partner and Imogen getting time to spend with her birth daughter. But, in true PLL style what they enjoy is soon dismantled by what they fear the most.

Pretty Little Liars Summer School Episode 4 has a good build-up to the existing storyline without giving away many clues. The main characters are sensibly progressing and not doing something stupid which is a great improvement because half of the time is spent on ‘why did she even do that?’ moment.

Nonetheless, all the side characters still seem sus, especially Dr. Sullivan (to me). Also, I don’t like the fact that Gerry is likeable and, very reminiscent of how we all thought that Chip was a good guy. The fact that Gerry has started to look less sus and more likeable is a major red flag pointing towards him being related to whatever Waters mystery is spinning in the girls’ lives. And, the same can be said about Johnny.
