Geek Girl on Netflix: Release Date, Plot and More About Netflix’s Newest YA Series

Netflix has been coming out with a steady stream of YA shows on its platform and fans can’t help but be excited. From the fun and warmth of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Never Have I Ever to the slow and seductive feels of The Tearsmith, the platform has churned out relatable and enjoyable shows that cater to adults and youngsters alike. These shows catch our eyes because they focus on the unique experiences of youngsters – their thoughts, feelings and many secretive or unsaid moments that we carry around with us. Thus, the journeys that characters go through in these YA shows are nothing short of enjoyable.

Geek Girl Plot

Harriet Manners, a young and awkward teenager in high school is facing what everyone like her faces at this cut-throat age – she doesn’t fit in. Her shy nature makes her get into awkward situations that make her stand out, but not in a good way, making her the perfect object of ridicule for her peers who show no mercy. Until, of course, she is picked as the next hottest model for the biggest fashion houses in the country. Shocked and confused at first, she embraces her quirks and awkwardness to do what she is meant to be – to stand out. Of course, the warm glow of the spotlight is not the easiest to handle and things soon get complicated for her.
