Doctor Slump Episode 9 Preview: Jeong-woo is shocked by Ha-neul’s wish to break up, but this doesn’t stop him from waiting for her to pick herself up and come back to him.
Doctor Slump (닥터슬럼프) is a new Korean medical rom-com that tells the story of two intelligent individuals who have been rivals throughout their school days. However, they will soon face each other again when they find each other at their worst moment and decide to become a place of comfort for each other.
Directed by Oh Hyun-jong, the drama stars Park Shin-hye, Park Hyung-sik, Yoon Park, Kong Seong-ha, Jang Hye-jin, and Hyun Bong-sik, alongside other cast members. Doctor Slump takes over the JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 22:30 time slot previously occupied by Welcome to Samdal-ri.

Doctor Slump Episode 8 Recap
The day after Jeong-woo’s confessions, Ha-neul is unsure if her dating life with him has begun. However, with Ba-da’s intervention, it is soon clear to her that she is indeed dating Jwong-woo now and the two plan to go on a date the very same day. However, Dae-young arrives right before they leave and takes Jeong-woo for lunch.
Ha-neul pushes herself aside and makes him go while she waits. Jeong-woo is presented a job offer by Dae-young during their lunch but he doesn’t respond to it yet. He then finally begins his date with Ha-neul after rejecting Kyung-min’s offer to meet. However, he is soon surprised when Ha-neul’s idea of a date is to go to the library and discuss dissertations.
Unable to hold on for long, Jeong-woo shows Ha-neul how a real date is supposed to be and later he even tells her to prioritise herself in his life instead of holding herself back. Upon returning home, he sees Kyung-min’s wedding card in his mail and Ha-neul begins getting an attack when Jeong-woo is not looking. She then meets her psychiatrist the next day and opens up about her feelings from the day her father passed away.
Jeong-woo accidentally stumbles upon her crying when on his way to meet his psychiatrist and can’t help but think about the reason for her condition. Later, Ha-neul meets an old colleague and gets more information about Kyung-min’s wedding and recalls how he had used her to finish his dissertation with no mention of her contribution.
She makes a scene at his farewell party and walks away in a sour mood. Later, she receives a call from Hong-ran who tells her that Jeong-woo rejected a job offer to accompany her which makes her feel worse. As she walks back home in the rain, Jeong-woo rushes to her and her overwhelming feelings bring her to break up with him right then and there.
Jeong-woo is shocked by her words but is not ready to let go of her this easily. However, he doesn’t say anything but hands over the umbrella to her and walks away.

Jeong-woo tells Ha-neul that he is going to wait for her following it with some instructions to her before he begins a new routine. However, Ha-neul soon finds out that his PTSD is creating problems for him in his new job while he struggles to get back to normal. But, she is unable to find the strength in herself to support him at the moment.
Will Ha-neul be able to get herself back to her feet and save Jeong-woo?

The series will stream from January 27, 2024, to March 17, 2024. Episode 9 of the series will stream on February 24 at 10:30 PM KST (8:30 PM IST).
