The highly awaited final episodes of the South Korean psychological survival reality show (블스 플랜) created by The Genius’ Jung Jong-yeon were unveiled on October 10, 2023, and the final showdown has cleared the path for The Devil’s Plan winner. Alongside previously mentioned The Devil’s Plan cast members, the roster also included Seo Dong-joo – a MIT graduate and a lawyer in America with an MBA degree, comedian and actress Park Kyung-lim, Guillaume Patry – a Canadian gamer, now a professional poker player, Kwedo aka Scientist ORBIT – former policy advisor to the Blue House, and Kwak Joonbin – a travel YouTuber and a multilingual speaker. Other than these famous names, two non-celebrity contestants of the show are Seo Yoo-min – American orthopaedic surgeon, and Kim Dong-jae – a college student, now a professional poker player.

Among these 12 The Devil’s Plan contestants, only one has reigned supreme and clinched the grand prize promised to the victor after crossing a landmine filled with betrayals of all kinds. If you’re wondering who took the prize home, read on to find out all about the various crossfires that led to the final path of triumph.

The Devil’s Plan Winner and Other Finalists

Seungkwan, Park Kyung-lim, Kwak Joon-bin, Lee Si-won, Seo Dong-joo, Kwedo aka ORBIT, Seo Yoo-min and Ha Seok-jin were the last remaining contestants who crossed over to the semi-final round, but before actually playing the match for this round, another unprecedented elimination brought the group count down to 7. Thereafter, the poker game gradually cut down more numbers, leaving behind the ultimate Top 2 contestants of the show – Ha Seok-jin and Kwedo. In the end, the final round introduced the duo to several rounds of two different games. Although the very first round is won by Kwedo, Seok-jin eventually caught up and topped the scoreboard.

He won the majority of the rounds, and at the end of the memory game, he’s announced as the grand victor of the games since he was able to overtake Kwedo in both games. Seok-jin received an amount of 250 million won as his final prize.

The Devil’s Plan Eliminations

Guillaume Patry was the first contestant to be eliminated during the initial episodes of the show. After him, during the course of episodes 6-9, Kim Dong-jae, Lee Hye-sung and Cho Yeon-woo also left the show. Thereafter, Lee Si-won’s journey was brought to a halt after she played a secret prison game and lost. She lost ahead of the semi-finale morning match, which further brought the numbers down as Park Kyung-lim, Seo Yoo-min, Seungkwan and then Joon-bin were also defeated in the special poker game.

The final trio comprised Seo Dong-joo, Kwedo and Ha Seok-jin, who then went on to play a new game, following the events of which, Dong-joo was eliminated, leaving Kwedo and Seok-jin to fight it out for the top rank of the show.

The Devil’s Plan Netflix Show: Rivalries and Alliances

From the get go, Kwedo riled up a rivalry against Seok-jin, Si-won and Dong-jae as they had the most number of Pieces in possession. With this in mind, he took the liberty to self-proclaim the rest of the players as “underdogs”. Continuing to spread a sort of a “divide-and-rule” agenda, he pulled the majority of players to his side while asserting that he wanted them to survive for as long as possible. This sparked an undisputed rivalry between him and Seok-jin, who believed that the most meritorious player should be taking the lead and their focus should be to encourage those who were fully invested in the game and making heavy contributions.

Seok-jin formed an alliance with Guillaume Patry, Lee Si-won and Dong-jae, and though they constantly tried to win over the trust of other contestants along the way, those people had already been buttered up by Kwedo, the self-proclaimed leader of the underdogs. While some members of the remaining majority didn’t ever quite fit in with either of the groups, Seok-jin’s team formed a close-knit support system and they always had each other’s backs, and the same reflected in the happiness felt by the others when Seok-jin finally won as they rushed out for a group hug.
