Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained: The sixth episode of the anime series premiered on Aughust 31, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).

The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes will adapt the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained

In the second half of the episode, Utahime is asked to conduct a thorough search in Tokyo High. The search is done to find out who is the traitor in Jujutsu High who has been feeding valuable information to the enemies. Along with her also joins Yuji, Nobara and Megumi to conduct the search. With her cursed energy, Utahime finds out that the traitor is a student of Kyoto High, Mechamaru, also known as Kokichi Muta.

Why did Mechamaru betray Jujutsu High?

Mechamaru suffers from a health condition which forces him to hide away in the shadows. With the help of his cursed technique, Puppet Manipulation, he can remotely control cursed corpse puppet from a long distance. However, in order to gain a healthy and functioning body, he makes a binding vow with the enemy. In return for a healthy body, he would leak the important information from Jujutsu High.

However, Mahito wanted to transform Mechamaru similarly to his other victims, but pseudo-Geto reminded him that they made a binding vow, and if they did not follow through with it, something would go wrong. Mahito, with the help of his technique of idle transfiguration, is able to give Mechamaru a perfectly healthy body.

Why did Mahito and Mechamaru fight?

After Mechamaru finds out about Mahito’s plans for Shibuya, he is set to stop him. After he is healed, he sends numerous puppets to kill Mahito. However, Mahito easily dodges them and goes on to attack Mechamaru. But Mechamaru has other plans and brings out a huge puppet, and he controls it from the inside. Mechamaru’s intention was to contact Gojo Satoru somehow and reveal Mahito’s plans. But pseudo-Geto puts a shield that restricts him from making contact outside. However, he continues to attack Mahito and the episode ends on that note.
