Leo Teaser: Adam Sandler is an Animated 74-year-old Lizard Ready to Embark on the Adventure of a Lifetime

Netflix has revealed a new look at what Adam Sandler would look like if he were a beloved animated class pet, a 74-year-old lizard in the Leo teaser, dropping on YouTube on August 23, 2023. The upcoming animated film will be a coming-of-age musical comedy has been directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel and David Wachtenheim.

Although Sandler’s new avatar is a lot more scalier than the common furry hamster dreams of a young child, he’s just as goofy as ever. This time, instead of presenting us the point of view of a school-going child looking in on the old pets in their classroom, the movie has rather chosen to lead with these slithering creatures’ perspective. Leo the Lizard has been stuck in the same Florida school for as long as he can remember, but when he finds out that his fatal end is just a year away, he hopes to change his static life around and live out his dreams of freedom.

But things don’t pan out as planned and he has to take on another adventure after all, constricted within the walls of the same classroom, but more rewarding than he could’ve ever imagined. Guess what? Taking on a mean substitute teacher becomes his next big thing, and joining him on this coup is his terrarium-mate turtle, Bill Burr.

Other voice cast members of the next Netflix animation project are Jason Alexander, Cecily Strong, Rob Schneider, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Heidi Gardner, Nicholas Turturro and Nick Swardson. The movie has been by Sandler Robert Smigel, and Paul Sado, and produced by Sandler’s American film and television production company Happy Madison Productions.

Although you may be terrified of reptiles in general, this animated creature will slither into your heart and become of your favourite characters, especially with Sandler’s signature voice making for an instant comical reminder of all good things in life.
