The First Responders Season 2 Episode 6 Recap and Review: A Crime With Many Victims

The First Responders Season 2 Episode 6 premiered on August 19, 2023, with a total runtime of 60 minutes. It is a new thriller K-drama series directed by Shin Kyung-soo and written by Min Ji-eun. The series (소방서 옆 경찰서) stars Kim Rae-won as Jin Ho-gae, Son Ho-jun as Bong Do-jin, and Gong Seung-yeon as Song Seol. The supporting and recurring cast includes Jung Jin-woo, Lee Jung-hu, Ji Woo, Jung Sang-hoon, Kang Gi-doong, Son Ji-yoon, Woo Mi-hwa, Seo Hyun-chul, Lee Hwa-jung, Jo Seung-yeon, Seo Jae-kyu, Lee Do-yub, Jo Hee-bong, Jeon Kuk-Hwan and more.

The second season premiered on SBS TV on August 4, 2023, and airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 pm KST, while the first season premiered on November 12, 2022, with a total of 12 episodes. The First Responders Season 2 takes over SBS’s Friday-Saturday 10 PM KST timeslot previously occupied by Revenant.

-The First Responders Season 2 Episode 6 Recap Contains Spoilers-

The new episode opens with Song Seol reading the letter from Do-jin. She reminisces all the time with him as she reads. Every moment is flashed in front of her eyes, and she is reminded of all the past instances that they used to spend together. Do-jin has left behind a vacuum which cannot be filled by anyone else.

Meanwhile, Pil is seen busy investigating the case, which the National Forensic Science concluded as an accidental death. Ho-gae also joins to help him, and they make a rather revelation. They suspect the lady who fought with the victim and visit her house. During the search, they find a recording device attached to the bathroom ceiling. Upon questioning, she reveals that it was she who was disturbing the neighbours with the sounds in an attempt to take revenge on the victim.

The investigation continues, and after much questioning and snooping around, they find something worthwhile. The police find out that the victim was looking around to purchase used underwear. Upon looking closely, they found out that she was, in fact, looking to find the person who stole the underwear from her neighbour. It turns out that the thief was the building’s security guard.

Moreover, during a DNA test, they find a match from a juice bottle. Ho-gae realises that it belonged to the little girl who he was with. The police hurried to the security guard’s house to apprehend him. When they reach, the child is laying on the floor unconscious, and the father is arrested.

During questioning, the security guard reveals that he killed the lady to take revenge on her after she caught him selling used underwear. However, he also reveals that he was severely in debt, and he found no other way to pay it back, so he started to steal from the residents of the building. Ho-gae enters the room and scolds him for trying to kill his daughter by poisoning her. Nevertheless, he was taken into custody, and the girl recovered from the poisoning.

The First Responders Season 2 Episode 6 Review: Final Thoughts

The new episode continues to build a plot that keeps the fans excited throughout. The story remains unpredictable as before and maintains an airtight story. Moreover, there has been a significant development in the characters, and one can see the changes from the previous episodes. The relationship dynamic between the characters is also constantly changing, providing substance to the story, including their individual instances.
