King the Land (킹더랜드) is a rom-com Kdrama that brings the story of an heir and an employee who works at one of the hotels owned by his family. Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Im Yoon-ah, Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.
The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.
With the ending of the show, viewers can really feel the empty space in their hearts because the lead couple really gave us the best romcom this year. Their heartwarming moments and the maturity shown were a charmer and there is no doubt that we would take more if they give us more.

King the Land: 8 Best Sa-rang Gu Won Moments!
Night on the Island
We begin this list with one of our favourites, the time when the two love birds got stuck on an island and became the spot which became the real start of their love story. It was here that Gu Won realised his feelings for Sa-rang and thus, it finally became the spot that remained unforgettable in the duo’s hearts. Turns out, this small island hotel was really one of the best.

First Date, but Not a Date
Sa-rang’s birthday saw a lot of Gu Won’s plans fail as he tried to have dinner with her alone. Finally, on her birthday, he was able to go for dinner with Sa-rang while wearing matching clothes and gave us major couple vibes. However, it was the process of Gu Won shopping Sa-rang’s outfit that really melted our hearts and made us raise those green flags.
Gu Won Becomes the Saviour
Next, we have the moment when Gu Won dashes through the winds and saves Sa-rang who had fallen off a cliff. His unhesitating posture when he got the helicopter out to save Sa-rang was a charmer. And later when he arrived in front of her and the hug that they finally shared was all it took to have us all squealing out loud.
The “Fake” Wedding
The Prince who got Gu Won running everywhere was amusing in many ways, however, amidst all this was Gu Won’s jealousy that resulted in his petty move of tricking his friend to give up the groom’s outfit. His love for Sa-rang had already reached new heights back then so how could it be possible for him to see Sa-rang take part in a wedding (even though fake) with just anyone?
Kiss in the Rain
One of the best moments of this show had to be the mesmerising kiss in the rain that the couple shared in episode 8. The sensual moment was led by the charmer whose plans went down in the drain (quite literally), but it didn’t stop him from getting what he wanted. Thus, proving that all is well that ends well, this moment really did go very well for Gu Won.

The Thailand Escape
Episode 10 brought us some very fun moments from the Thailand trip group, but that doesn’t mean that the couple was left anywhere behind. The couple made sure that they would get the time they would make the best of Thailand and so they escaped from the trip group to fulfil this exact wish, thus, giving us the moments we had been waiting for.
Gu Won, The Best Boyfriend
Episode 13 had the news of Gu Won and Sa-rang’s relationship spreading all over town. While the latter kept getting the blame for being the one who trapped the rich heir, Gu Won didn’t waste time in defending her. From making sure everyone at King Hotel knew that he was the one who chased Sa-rang, to approaching her colleagues at King the Land and requesting them to take care of her. This episode and these moments really touched our hearts.
The Amusement Park
Finally, we have the amusement park moments where the two turned into high schoolers who are ready for some fun. This was exactly the kind of fun that Sa-rang needed before their upcoming separation and her boyfriend did not disappoint. Their time at the amusement park was filled with fun and love, leaving us with the bittersweet feeling of love.
Bonus: The Proposal and Wedding
There is no way we cannot mention the climax of this couple’s love story and while all these moments got us hooked to them, it was the finale that left us with a beautiful warmth. Their delayed proposal did not take away the magic of the moment and their wedding became the best ending to this show. A moment that is sure to remain in our hearts forever.
