King the Land Overview

King the Land (킹더랜드) is a rom-com Kdrama that brings the story of an heir and an employee who works at one of the hotels owned by his family. Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Lim Yoon-a (Yoona), Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.

The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.

Lee Jun-ho was last seen on The Red Sleeve as Yi San / King Jeongjo, while Yoona played audience-favourite Go Mi-ho in 2022’s hugely popular Big MouthKing the Land takes over the jTBC’s Saturday-Sunday 22:30 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Doctor Cha.

Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads: “Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir clashes with his hardworking employee who’s known for her irresistible smile — which he cannot stand.”

Gu Won is finally able to spend some quality time with Sa-rang and ask her about the things that she likes, but will he be able to tell her about his budding feelings? Meanwhile, Sa-rang’s ex-boyfriend sees the two together and blames him for his breakup but doesn’t get the reaction he had wanted. Will Sa-rang be able to understand the feelings of Gu Won?

King the Land Episode 4 Recap

Sa-rang breaks up with her boyfriend while Gu Won gets a piece of advice to chase the one he likes. However, this seems to be tougher for Gu Won with his inexperience in such a situation, thus leading him to make blunder after blunder. Finally, Sa-rang tries to put a stop to his behaviour while Gu Won wonders where he went wrong.

Meanwhile, being put on the task to increase sales at King Hotel by their father, Hwa-ran and Gu Won have to work harder. But this is not easy as the one-sided competition continues.

Finally, Gu Won and Sa-rang make their way to the spot which brings them relief but dash into each other.
