The Kardashians Season 3 Episode 5 Recap and Review
The Kardashians Season 3 Episode 5 starts with Kim and her group in Milan. After a long day of work, all the girls are chilling and the topic of boys pops up. North gives the excellent idea that they should leave a note at Khloe’s door, pretending to be the hot Michele Morrone, who Kim is dying to set Khloe up with. On the other hand, Kourtney is back in Calabasas, away from her Kar-Jen fam, celebrating the opening of Travis’ new vegan restaurant- Crossroads.
In the fifth episode, D-Day arrives and we get to witness it- The Dolce and Gabbana fashion show. The Kim-inspired line is laid out and it is breathtaking. We walk through the entire process from the backstage touch-up to the ramp head bow. Additionally, the Michele Morrone storyline with Khloe continues. We see the funniest Kardashian gush about the Italian actor and spill the beans about their meet-cute at the fashion show.
It is a fun segment with Khloe in the hair and makeup chair giving us the deets of the meet and, how she did not know who Morrone was while the show but, thanked Kim for the set-up. She also emphasises that after all the stories that have been out about her, this would be a fun narrative to see.

But, of course, this episode housed the D&G show which by default meant knowing Kourtney’s side of the story in regards to the same. So the next segment followed up with the eldest Kardashian spilling her side of the story. She mentions how the 90s look and pulling the D&G archives was her idea for her wedding, which Kim has stolen through the show, making it her own. Kourtney’s word is that Kim and Kris are more responsible towards her than D&G as the latter is a brand.
Kim is meanwhile seen celebrating her historic D&G moment at an after-party with Khloe, Kris, her children and friends. The topic of Kourtney comes up and all Kim can say is that this moment was too big a moment to not be proud of her or support her in this venture. When they return back to their home, Kris and Khloe talk about the feisty nature of Kim and Kourntey’s relationship.
Kourtney is seen celebrating her anniversary with Travis at the same place where they got engaged towards the end of The Kardashians Season 3 Episode 5. Khloe visits Kim and gets to know that the latter has still not talked to Kourtney about the D&G show. They get on a call with Simon (Kourtney and Kim’s best friend) and navigate a way to talk to Kourt about the present scenario.

The Kardashians Season 3 Episode 5: Final Thoughts
Why is the show doing what it is doing? It is just plainly dragging this Kim-Kourt fight which isn’t even a real fight over the course of the episodes for some shock/drama value. It is so boring at this point that it is not even working to keep us engaged.

Regarding the Kim/Kourtney battle over the 90’s collection, D&G spoke with Kim at the wedding unbeknownst to Kourtney because they liked how Kim put together the different pieces from the collection to form new and exciting looks. That was expressed in the first or second episode this season. Kim also tried to postpone the show to not be treading on Kourtney’s wedding “coattails” . It honestly seems to me that Kourtney is only salty because she wasn’t given this opportunity first. But she wasn’t the one who styled Kim’s looks for the wedding which D&G wanted. She is so far stuck down Travis’ throat that she probably wouldn’t have been asked anyway. Kourtney just needs to understand that they were interested in Kim’s fashion sense. Yes, the pieces were pulled by Kourtney’s stylist but unless Kim used an exact look off her storyboard from the wedding for the runway show then just stop crying about it. D&D made THEIR chose of sister. Stop being salty and find your own thing. You don’t hear Kim whining about Khloe copying her by using a surrogate to have a baby, do you?
