Hoichoi’s Gora 2 Trailer: Ritwick Chakraborty is Tangled in a New Case of Serial Killings

In a new instalment of the Hoichoi series, the Gora 2 trailer shows the detective getting back on track for another case. Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee and created by Sahana Dutta, this series stars Ritwick Chakraborty, Suhotra Mukhyopadhyay, Usashi Ray, Manali Manisha Dey, Mimi Dutta and Ananya Sen, alongside other cast members. While Gora is about to get married, things turn towards the worst swiftly and terribly, that the only chance he seems to have at redemption is solving a case featuring a serial killer in the midst.

The beginning shows this ceremony going downhill, and he decides to find a bride for himself within 15 days of this debacle. Knowing the depth of his challenges, he tries to shut everything out, including a new case that drops itself on his doorstep. However, it is obviously not that simple because when the case makes a turnaround on him, it gets much more serious. A three-year-old girl passed away after coughing up blood. While that sounds like a traumatic lung condition, it doesn’t account for the fact that two of her siblings died the same way.

Now, Gora cannot turn away from this onslaught of violence. Adding to that, two other people were killed similarly. This is not just a family feud anymore, it is a full-on mass murder. However, everyone has faith in him. They know that while he is on the case, he will not be distracted elsewhere. He may be eccentric and annoying, but there are many cases solved because of him. If there is one person who could bring justice to the family, then it is him.

After asking for medical records and similar cases, he throws himself into the depths of this violence, digging through pieces of evidence, interviewing suspects and keeping an eye out for anyone who looks remotely suspicious. While all of this sounds really serious, the show is largely humourous and manages to set the tension at ease when everything becomes taut like a rope. Check out the series to see whether this detective is able to catch the serial killer and come to a solution for his private life as well. While this writer thinks he will get together with the reporter of the crime, only the episodes will tell what comes next.
