The Boogeyman: Planning to Watch Stephen King’s Another Horror Saga? All You Need to Know

The Boogeyman is an upcoming horror movie that is an adaptation of one of the short stories from the mind of Stephen King. Directed by Rob Savage, who previously worked on The Host, the screenplay is given by Scott Beck, Bryan Woods and Mark Heyman. From 20th Century Studios and 21 Laps, the film is produced by Stranger Thing‘s Shawn Levy alongside Dan Levine.

The movie consists of an ensemble of talented actors who are previously seen in many other projects. It stars Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivian Lyra Blair, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, David Dastmalchian, Maddie Nichols, Madison Hu, Mabel Tyler, Daniel Hagen, Leeann Ross, Adams Bellouis, and more.

The Boogeyman Plot

The plot of the movie follows two sisters, Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer. After the death of their mother, they are still trying to get back into their normal lives. As a high school student, Sadie has a lot on her plate, and it makes it difficult for her to manage both her school life and personal life. Moreover, their father, Will, who is a therapist, is himself suffering from the pain of losing his wife, which creates an inevitable disconnect between his two daughters.

However, things start to get complex after Will meets with a troubled patient. A supernatural entity who feeds upon people’s miseries and sufferings has been latching onto the patient for several years, and unintentionally, he leaves it behind at Will’s house. Soon after, disturbances around the house start to occur, and it often leads to many dangerous situations.

The youngest daughter often comes across the said ‘monster’, but no one believes her. But eventually, Sadie also encounters a few paranormal activities that leave her believing the impossible. From slow camera pans to abrupt jump scares, the movie is mashed together with numerous scary moments that will give you an instant adrenaline rush.

Will the family be able to escape the clutches of the unknown and terrifying creature? It will be exciting to witness how the story unfolds.
