Seed Special Live Clip: BIGBANG’s Taeyang and Park Bo-gum Acoustically Serenade in Front of a Glittering Skyline

BIGBANG’s Taeyang and Park Bo-gum fans must be so confused and elated at the same time as the two collaborate on the new version of his single in the Seed special live clip, also known as 나의 마음에 on the artist’s official YouTube channel. The duo recently became labelmates as THE BLACK LABEL is a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, of which Bo-gum is a part. In this video, the duo is seen starting the song slowly, with the keyboard notes coming in first. The video starts off with a singular lamp as a primary light source.

However, as the video progresses, the glittering skyline comes into view. This video gives us the opportunity to see an acoustic performance of a soft song but with a person playing a strong instrument. While Taeyang is known to be talented, this video is a new look for Park Bo-gum, who hasn’t made music in a while. Taeyang’s voice truly shines through in the limited vocal arrangement carrying the sentiment across the screen.

The lyrics are melancholic and speak of losing someone but still having all their love in your heart. Every move, word, prayer and gesture has been lodged in your soul while remembering the nostalgia of that time. Their aesthetic from the live video completely matches the aesthetic that the music brings. The midnight blue of the sky while the world passes by you. Dreamy skylines and sad ballads are what make this live video so special.

This is not the actor’s first stint in making music. He has his own page on Spotify and has released multiple singles. The most recent one is All My Love which came out in August of 2020. Taeyang, however, has been prolific in the music scene, releasing solo music with his band BIGBANG. He hadn’t released any solo music since 2018 after enlisting in the army. The most recently released solo music includes the one with Jimin of BTS and LISA of BLACKPINK.
