MONSTA X’s Hyungwon And Shownu are Joining Forces As a Subunit, Read On

MONSTA X’s Hyungwon And Shownu have recently confirmed that they will be debuting as the first-ever unit from the group, and we cannot keep calm! Speculations about the subunit have been going around for some time, and finally, dreams have turned into reality. Fans of the artists are excited about the news and cannot wait for their upcoming schedules.

Earlier today, the news about the pair debuting as a subunit for the group dropped, which created a frenzy among the fans. However, Starship Entertainment, the company that manages the group, confirmed the news in response to the speculations. They further added that schedules for the subunit have not been confirmed yet and promise to release details about it soon. They also asked the fans to wait a little longer and anticipate the debut.

Shownu, who is the leader of the K-pop group, is an all-rounder. The artist successfully completed his mandatory military enlistment and was discharged in April 2021. Apart from being an excellent singer, he is also an amazing dancer. Moreover, he also delved into the world of acting and appeared in the horror movie Urban Myths in 2022. He is also an extremely sought-after idol for various endorsements and brand ambassadorship.

Hyungwon, on the other hand, is also a songwriter and music producer, besides being a singer, dancer, actor and model. He has done a lot of solo activities, and however, DJing is one of the prominent activities that he is frequently engaged in. His stage name is DJ H.ONE and has performed in multiple festivals and concerts. Additionally, he released a single called My Name featuring Talksick and collaborated with Dutch DJ Jimmy Clash.

Expectations are high from their subunit as both artists are extremely talented in their respective fields. Moreover, their music style is also different, which makes it even more exciting and raises anticipation among fans. Discussions about the type of music they will release are already happening on social media platforms.

The group released their 11th studio album, Shape of Love, on April 11, 2023, with the lead single Love. Moreover, they were also engaged in various group activities, including participating in various concerts both domestically and internationally. They recently released the title track called Beautiful Liar on January 9, 2023, for their mini album, Reason. Currently, Minhyuk is serving in the military, and the group promises to release new music soon after his discharge. Whereas, Joohoney is set to release his solo debut album Lights on May 22, 2023.
