Secret Invasion Trailer Easter Eggs: Evil Skrulls, Mysterious Pods and the DODC Running Wild

Disney+ is bringing the Marvel content back this year with the highly anticipated show featuring everyone’s favourite, Nick Fury. The Secret Invasion Trailer easter eggs are pointing to a much larger story about resentment, and we will be exploring all that here. This show stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Kinglsey Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Martin Freeman, Don Cheadle, Carmen Ejogo, Killian Scott and Charlayne Woodard, alongside other cast members.

Secret Invasion is created by Kyle Bradstreet, who also joins the crew as the writer. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Victoria Alonso serve as the executive producers on the show. There will be six episodes in this show, releasing every week.

Secret Invasion Trailer Easter Eggs

Evil Skrulls

Kinglsey Ben-Adir’s Gravik is resentful of Nick Fury and the people on Earth. Within Talos’ group of Skrulls, a faction split and radicalised to cause as much chaos on this planet as they could take over it. Talos tries his level best to reason with Gravik, but it seems like the latter has made it clear that Skrulls with him are ready to take his side to usurp world leaders, especially when the scene shows popular world leaders in the background.

Mysterious Pods

It seems that humans have once again taken the wrong side on the ethical scale and exploited the kindness of the Skrulls. They are fortunate not to see Captain Marvel because whatever is happening there is a disaster, and she would have made some serious editorial decisions with humanity. Back to the pods, we see G’iah looking over at a couple of hundred pods. It is possible that in Fury’s absence, other people have taken advantage of the Skrulls and used them for their own benefit.

It is unclear whether they are dead or just in stasis. However, since Gravin seems to have some extra abilities, these pods could also be a way for their powers to develop. Or that he has been working to evolve their species to fight humanity better.

DODC Runs Wild

The Department of Damage Control was seen majorly during Spider-Man: Homecoming, and since then, they have been the subtle villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Olivia Colman’s character Sonia Falsworth has been mysteriously placed in this show because we see her be the British version of Val with all the torture techniques she has been using.

She and Fury have been together for some time because there is an air of familiarity and trust. We don’t know how they fit together, but considering her dialogues, it is possible they were leading a team of Skrulls to do some undercover recon. This secret binds them together and gives her enough leverage.

Nick Fury is Back at What Cost

Everyone has been warning Nick Fury of the consequences that come with his return. Now that the cat is out of the bag, he is the most wanted man. Rhodey is increasingly concerned that the system will attack Fury he helped set up in the first place. Moreover, it seems that he may be to blame for all this outrage happening now. His promise to help the Skrulls find their own planet still hasn’t been fulfilled, so now they live and lie among humans, quietly seething.

Gravin is a villain of his own making. Like the way HYDRA overtook SHIELD, Nick Fury is bound to feel responsible for all the problems on Earth now.

G’iah or Abigail Brand

Emilia Clarke plays G’iah, who is expected to become Abigail Brand. She is shown to be Talos’ daughter, all grown up from her time in 1995 when we last saw her. She has also built some resentment for the lack of a home after years of unfulfilled promises. To take some action, she decides to join the opposite side, to have her voice heard. She’s still a good person, but it is unclear what her moral boundaries are when it comes to watching the people on this planet die needlessly.
