Netflix has teased another drama titled The Whirlwind, and it will be Sul Kyung-gu’s first in an impressive roster. Along with him, Kim Hee-ae also joins as the protagonist. This series is written by Park Kyung-soo and will be directed by Kim Yong-wan. The story follows a Prime Minister trying to topple the President from his position. Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister is on her own journey, trying to usurp the Prime Minister’s seat.
The President has been known to collude with powerful people and rich lobbyists, working for their vested interests instead of working for the people he had sworn to protect. In the actor’s first drama role, he will be playing the Prime Minister while his co-star will be the Deputy Prime Minister trying to bring her boss down. While this may be Kyung-gu’s first drama, he is not a stranger to the world of films. He has a film coming out very soon. Kill Boksoon, in which he plays Cha Min-kyu, will be coming out on March 31, 2023.
