Here Love Lies Plot/Synopsis

The official Netflix synopsis of the film reads, “Preacher’s daughter turned single mother and travel blogger, Amanda finds more than romance when she takes a chance to meet a social media suitor in NYC.” In the pursuit of love and forever, Amanda embarks on a social media romance with American Tour Guide Michael. A trip to the US to meet up for the first time opens up more doors than both anticipated.

In the released trailer, we see that Amanda is having a romantic dinner with her boyfriend but it looks like the feelings are not mutual. It takes a pretty sinister turn when he asks her what’s going on in her mind as it looks like she has killed someone. Simultaneously, we see Amanda’s painful past as a child, as well as some glimpses of her time in America where things seem to be going very wrong, even deadly.

In the film, we will find out what really happened to Amanda in her childhood, which could be related to the horrific events in the present time from which she is seen to be running from.

  1. I love this movie it really meant a lot to me it makes me think of life and how it’s so precious also the first song that comes on when the movie starts what is it called I like me here is time

  2. I thought the movie was great! The intro song was everything for me. I also totally loved the plot twist. Tbh I started to get the vibe that something was going to go awfully wrong when the Liz lady kept coming in their way. I thought she was Michael’s wife and it was all a fat scam. I was convinced something was going to go wrong as soon as they got to the cabin.
Tope was great! I like how she looked like she wasn’t forcing herself or doing too much.
I also like how the movie didn’t cast Nigeria in a bad light.
I would say though that while I understand how Igbo fathers might be full of ego, I wish he apologised to his daughter in the movie.
Thank you so much for this. Totally worth my time.
