Fighting Second Win is now a reality held in the hands of SEVENTEEN’s BSS, who have been countering competitions of all sorts with their debut single album Second Wind. The special unit trio has done it again and emerged at the top of the music chain by taking away their second win for the leading track’s promotions at Mnet’s M Countdown.
Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi, a.k.a. BooSeokSoon, instantly took to their official Twitter page to thank their fans, commonly known as CARATs, for their constant support throughout this period. Just yesterday, they won their first ever trophy at Show Champion, thus, beating other candidates like NCT 127’s Ay-Yo, BIGBANG’s Taeyang ft. Jimin’s VIBE, 8TURN’s TIC TAC and TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s Sugar Rush Ride.

While they debuted in 2018 with Just Do It, which received a digital release at the time, the unit members finally made their first comeback on February 6, 2023 with the much anticipated official album. Fans and K-pop artists alike have been following the catchy dance challenge by mirroring the steps to the Fighting choreography, turning it into a ranging trend on the internet.
At today’s M Countdown broadcast, the three members of the unit have once again defeated TXT’s Sugar Rush Ride and bagged their second trophy for this musical era. The song also features Lee Young-ji, a South Korean rapper who became the talk of the town following her variety web series titled No Prepare, wherein she held sessions of ‘drunk interviews’ with various artists like Jin of BTS, Hoshi, Hyungwon of MONSTA X and others.
The title single has become a go-to high energy anthem for the fans, and even non-fans of the group to pump up their adrenaline and feel motivated. It reflects the cumulative product of all three members’ boosting personalities, and we all have the producers – Woozi and BUMZU – to thank for, along with the leader of the thirteen-member group, S.Coups, who co-wrote the song with the unit.
