The 4th episode of the 2nd season of this much-loved series is finally here, and we saw the story unfold in new directions. So, how did this episode fare anyways? Find out below.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 4 Overview

When the first season ended, fans felt endless frustration because of the massive cliffhanger of the last episode that left many questions unanswered. This is why the hype around this anime is insane, and we are sure it will live up to it.
Director Hatsumi Kouichi, who also worked in anime like Darling in the FranXX, Deadman Wonderland, Hunter x Hunter, etc, will handle the direction for the series. Studio LIDENFILMS which handled the first season of this anime will be returning for this season. They have worked on Koi to Uso, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Yofukashi no Uta, etc.
The opening song will be White Noise (ホワイトノイズ), performed by Official HIGE DANdism, and the ending theme will be Kizutsu kedo, Aishiteru. (傷つけど、愛してる。), performed by TUYU.
I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 4 Review and Recap – Deal With The Devil

Another episode of Tokyo Revengers is here, and we are back again with a review of how this episode went. The episode opens with Mitsuya telling Hakkai that Hakkai will not let him leave just like that.
He also says that he wants to meet Taiju and have a chat with him. Hakkai obviously is against this idea, but he accepts it in the end and takes Mitsuya along with Takemichi and Chifuyu to meet his brother.
In the meeting, Taijiu is as menacing as ever and right off the bat, he blames Mitsuya for brainwashing his brother. Surprisingly, Mitsuya, without wasting any more time, strikes a deal with him. According to that, Hakkai will leave Toman and join the Black Dragons, but in return, Taiju will release Yuzuha. Apparently, she was assigned to collect all the dirty money that Taiju makes from selling his fighting.
Mitsuya also demands Taiju never abuse his sister by raising a hand at her ever again. Taiju reluctantly agrees, and Hakkai officially quits Toman. We get more insight into how cruelly Taiju treated his siblings from Hakkai later.
The Shiba siblings grew up alone without the guidance of a mother and father, hence, Taiju, the oldest, became the apparent guardian by default. He is also a natural leader and carries the air of someone you need to follow. This dominating nature was not limited to outside, as he frequently beat his younger siblings as well. Taiju treated them so harshly that Hakkai, for a time, thought this was how loving someone works. But that mentality changed when he met Mitsuya while he was taking care of his younger siblings.

With all the info, Takemichi decides the best course of action is to defeat the Black Dragons altogether without spilling anyone’s blood.
But who would help him? He cannot fight them on his own. So when no one from Toman was willing to aid him, a treacherous ally came, who might not be the best partner to work with.
Verdict
This episode does a good job of building the tension for future events to unravel. We got some nice twists by the end, making our anticipation for the showdown grow. I will again point out that the animation could have been better, but other than that, this series is really worth all the hype. Watch this anime on Hulu.
