Back in 2011, Jeff Davis, the American writer and creator of the teen supernatural series kick-started a modern adaptation of the well-established 1985 movie title and now the series is coming back with Teen Wolf The Movie, which is basically the compressed seventh season of the show that terminated after hitting a century of episodes in 2017 with Season 6. Many characters died on the blood-ridden path chosen by our favourite gang of (then) teenagers, while others became household trademarks synonymously associated with the show’s title.
Unfortunately, not all of those beloved characters are coming back for this surprise run, but conversely, some shocking returns have already led us to raise our eyebrows in disbelief. Only time will tell whether it’ll all result in yet another successful entry of the Teen Wolf saga or not.
Teen Wolf The Movie Cast
As mentioned by Davis in one of his interviews, the movie packs up a range of emotions to service the grand list of characters. However, Dylan O’Brien, who played the role of Stiles, the representative of smacking truths drenched in sarcasm, and Arden Cho’s Kira Yukimura won’t be returning with the rest of the gang.
The ones whose presence in the film has been confirmed till now include Tyler Posey’s Scott, Holland Roden’s Lydia, Crystal Reed’s Allison, J.R. Bourne’s Mr. Argent, Tyler Hoechlin’s Derek Hale, Shelley Hennig’s Malia Tate, Dylan Sprayberry’s Liam Dunbar, Colton Haynes’ Jackson, Ian Bohen’s Peter Hale, Melissa Ponzio’s Melissa McCall, Linden Ashby’s Sherrif Stilinski, Seth Gilliam’s Deaton, with Vince Matis as Eli, i.e. Derek’s son.
Teen Wolf the Movie Plot/Storyline
Speculatively, the story for the film picks up right where it was left off with the Season 6 finale. However, the twist here is that a long gone familiar face joins our pack of werewolves, banshees, were coyotes, kitsches, shapeshifters and some human beings. If there’s something we’ve learnt after the six successful seasons of the fan-favourite show, it’s that nothing and no one ever stays dead in Beacon Hills.

Initially, the entire pack, except a few members, left the small town of Beacon Hills to pursue their respective new paths in the future. However, the arrival of a new big bad lures them all back to the pavilion, which again leads us to ponder over the true nature and strengths of this antagonist since Scott McCall, the leader of the pack, has been compelled to reunite new alliances alike old friends and family.
The movie’s special premiere was recently held at Harmony Gold Theatre on January 18, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.
